Hi Mike.
I think I know what you mean. When you do the wall run and jump, Lara continues "forward" and jumps along the wall. You want Lara to jump off the wall towards the top of a pillar. I can't remember exactly what you do, but when you are at the top of the wall run, I believe you press a direction key (towards the top of the pillar) and immediately press jump. I hope I've got that right. Good luck.

oh I hate that one. I tried about 50 times and started just killing her for fun before I got it. Yeah, you have to push an arrow key to jump off in the direction you want to go. I have the PS2 version so I can't be to much of a help.
It really depends on the way the camara is. If your running from a side view press left + jump. If your running with the camara facing the wall back + jump.
I have heard its easier to do it in the PC version though than with an analog stick.
There's a type of grapple jump in the mansion in the gym. Practice does make perfect.

It's best to run her back and forth along the wall a couple of times to get a feel for the timing. When she's at the highest point and turns to head back, it's at that instant that the jump needs to be executed. As Fickji stated, the camera angle determines which direction to push to send her flying towards the pillar.

Go to the gym and try it. The key is to make the jump in a specific point, when she's at the top of the arch and she's turning around. I assure you that all you need is practice, I can do these jumps without any problems now and I'm no fantastic TR player.
