Returned Kane & Lynch Today....

Well I purchased this game the day it came out early november I believe it was around the first or second week. We have been promised new maps for this game even before it was released in press releases and interviews. I never got a straight answer on these forums and the only answer I have even gotten close to a date is yea its coming out. when? Oh we cant tell you that but it will be soon. Well considering its been almost 4 months now I think you can throw soon out the window and along with it my 65 dollars. I returned it today and was lucky to get 20 bucks for it which I did and put reserves on some good games. Im just glad I got rid of it because it was just collecting dust. Im seriously upset with eidos right now and I dont give a **** how good Kane & Lynch 2 is Im not buying it because you guys are A bunch of liars. Not to mention you got that poor guy fired at Pc Gamer and on top of all that you put a fake 5 star review on your front page. Shame on you eidos you lied to all of your customers who have been fanboys for over 11years (Since Hitman 97) Not to mention you use the same glacier engine which is glitchy and buggy as hell since them. I will never buy another eidos game in my life Besides Age of Conan Hyborian online and thats because its being taken care of by another branch of eidos. I hope you guys are proud lying to your customers all this time Im just happy I got rid of the game and some of my money back. I feel bad for the pc users who have more bugs and glitches then us cant even play singleplayer let alone multiplayer and Had to buy a 360 controller just to play coop even though on the box it says LIVE coop. You guys are a bunch of crooks...

Ill be honest I did enjoy the game when It came out I got past the glitchs , bad aiming , horrible graphics and poor story line , & only 4 multiplayer maps. for a week maybe 2. But 4 maps is really terrible I mean what were they thinking people would react to 4 maps and 3 different sets of weapons. They made a promise they didnt deliver on. Come to think of it the only good thing about this game was the concept of fragile alliance and jesper kids music. Although from what Ive heard Heist is going to blow K&L away considering Heist is a proper depiction of the movie HEAT where all you do is rob banks not end up in venezuela some how tracking down the 7... I know your trying to be optimistic candle but wait till you get 1000 Achievment points in the game and get sick of those 4 maps believe me it wont take you more then a month of constent playing.

Four months is not THAT long and consider the fact that by only having four maps you will get to know them very very well and get better at them.

I still have fun on these maps as its not neccesarily about the actual finding your way around... but more about how everyone interacts in the various heists.

Also... i think that there must have to be a very large amount of testing and balancing going on in the fragile aliance maps. Its more complex than just a deathmatch, as you have to create a sort of game flow for a match with pretty much no rules....
This means you cant leave areas that allow people to constantly dominate and so on.

I agree that its very lame that there has been little to no feedback and news on new content though... but maybe... just maybe... they are actually going to release quite a large amount of content for this game and they want to get it just right.

Well candle The only reason I am Achievement whoring is because im 500 gamer points away from breaking the 2000 mark. Wait till you get near the 2000 mark look at my gamer tag SpecSniper420 My first few games like COD2 Far cry anything that I first got with my 360 I have either 0 or 20 achievement points in it. Now that im about to pass 20,000 You get wayyyyy more into it go ask anyone on the live forums.

Electronics Boutique, Best Buy, all those places... they won't take your game back if it's opened, under any circumstances.

The days of returning PC games ended in the early nineties. So I dunno where you took your game, but I guaruntee you no major electronics chain took it back opened.

Actually, 4 months is a long time for no initial patch. There has been no real signs that they are going to ever fix any of the bugs.

By law, they have to. If a product does not meet the standards that it claims to have, or is somehow not functioning properly, you have the right to return it. If they do not accept it, you can take action. If you really feel like being another martyr in this mess, you can successfully return the game.

You are right... that is a long time for a patch especially if there are people who can't even play.
I meant to say that four months wasn't that long for new content.

They have probably all been drafted off K&L and onto denied conflict or whatever its called....although they shouldn't have bothered. Downloaded the demo of that over the weekend and it sucks SO much.

Who, you're quite much pissed off...
Well, If you truly love the game you'd be able to accept all bugs and defects of it.
I don't even have Live service here in Russia so I keep playing those ******* levels again and again.
But I just like the atmosphere of the game, its characters and so.
I don't think it has more bad than good in it,
at least I believe Eidos will try not to make same mistakes in K&L2...

O.K., first: I gave it back myself. I got my money back and bought myself Assasins Creed. I returned K & L just because it was broken when they sold it to me (Sound error). I chose a other game, because i´ve already finished playing it. But the i started to miss it. It was strange. I saved my money a then i bought it again! Well: Now I´m satisfied :o . But I´m so f..king angry: This time MP doesn´t work well. I get trown out of every lobby, when I try to join....
But what I want to say: Sometimes it´s love at second sign. :)
