Just downloaded the game, but I ordered my new Saitek Evo Joystick (non wireless or force feedback model) the day before. Probably get it next week, but noticed that the game only lists a few joysticks and they go by what looks to by the production model, not the common name.

Have guys here used the Saitek Evo Joystick with this game?

Thanks !! :)

Hi guys-,just got this game, cos it looked like a fun thing (and anyway--only £2.99!!)Graphics look great, sound, awesome 60 fps frame rate, but I cant fly or sail on the keyboard, and really gotta have a cockpit or helm,I see there is a cockpit view in the trailer, but I cant find it--am I missing something?
Must be pretty good looking at the size of this community,so any hellp from you guys would be much appreciated...Thx
PS I see talk of a manual-Ididn,t gt one in the box--or is it on the disc?

I have the Saitek Cyberg Evo Force that works fine with MS CFS1,2,3 but I can't seem to be able to map the controls and buttons to BM using the controls panel-- when I attempt some of the links it recognizes my throttle, trigger, rudder etc. but with red exclamations indicating a conflict with I guess default settings that BM already has. There are no clear instructions that I have seen to indicate how you are supposed to map a joystick to game controls-- I'm just guessing you highlight the control function and hold or move the joystick or button to it's extreme and hit return to set the link. After setting the controls I test fly the aircraft and the controls are not linked as I set them and of course crashing or being shot down happens pretty quickly. Without help in getting the joystick working the game is pretty worthless.

Thanks

ktodack i sent you an reply on your PM

for all shorter:

the tricky part was for me to only move the stick into the wanted direction

example: you want "nose down" stick forward (Y axis -) and you just move your stick a little bit off sideways it will take the x axis

if you have nose up/down set and you want to set roll left/right it often takes the Y axis instead of the X axis because you have moved your stick a little bit forward or back while moving it sideways and then you have a control conflict

Hint:
always move of center position also with throttle, save after every sucessful step if something goes wrong then just abort and start with the same step again
Twisting handles for rudder control are very tricky because you can easy move the stick out of middle while twisting the handle and then it will take one of the x or y axis again and you have control conflict again

i know its a pain in the ass to get it right but once done and saved its worth it!
