I love the music in TRA (mainly the main theme! <3), and want to find somewhere to download or buy it, but can't find the soundtrack anywhere!
I bought the 360 version with the bonus disc... and on the back of the box it says:
"Bonus disc includes Sound Track for Tomb Raider Legend and Anniversary"...
I think that was kinda misinformative, given that there was only about five songs for each game (instead of all the awesome songs you unlock in the actual game!), and you cant play them anywhere other than loading up the bonus disc to play them!
I've tried searching amazon, itunes, everywhere for a -real- soundtrack (one that I can play on an ipod and such), but can't find anything! Does anyone know if its available anywhere?
Also, something I found kinda funny while I was getting annoyed trying to find the soundtrack... if you search for 'Tomb Raider' on iTunes (the UK one at least, no idea about other countries), it comes up with two songs by a band called '14 year old girls', involving lots of swearing about how tomb raider sucks and has awful level design! XD
I think you can find it here:

Well, I guess that's a start, but its still only five tracks, instead of the full soundtrack that you can unlock in the game... thanks though ^^

You won't find it anywhere online, Eidos has demanded that all soundtracks were taken offline. You can get a remixed version (as well as Tomb Raider Legend's soundtrack remixed) with the collector's edition of Tomb Raider: Anniversary, which comes as a double or triple disk, depending on where you buy it. :)
EDIT/
D'oh. Just read your original post. Sorry. :o

How silly!
I could understand this if there was an album to buy,
but... there isn't! It's so strange that they'd compose such wonderful music... and then refuse to let anyone buy it or hear it outside of the game...
I guess a lot of other games do this too... it's so strange.

GAME is your best bet. Look for Anniversary collector's edition (3 disc). A separate soundtrack hasn't been released yet, unfortunately. :(

Just get one of those data extractors for TRA and you can compile your own soundtrack.
It's quite a lot of manual work though since there are a lot of music bits in the game and not all of them are really useful for a regular soundtrack.

I bought this edition myself and I must say I'm not much impressed with the soundtrack. I mean, I like TRL and TRA music, but I'm not really happy with the particular way it's compiled and mixed together for this official soundtrack.
The rest of the bonus material is quite interesting though.

What do you mean by TRA extractors?
