Before you think i haven't searched the forum well, i am telling you, this is a new one!

Just after installing Deus Ex GOTY, and then i start it, it starts, but just one press on any keyboard button, and it crashes to system, with a general protection fault message.

It happens irrespective to which section of the game i am in: i manage to start a new game without using the keyboard, but just one press and it's off!

It happens in the main menu, ,during the play, settings, options, everywhere!

I don't know what the hell is that error?

I am using an Xp SP2, Geforce Fx5200, Intel motherboard D865PERL, Pentium IV 3.0 GHz, 512 MB RAM, Live! Value Creative Sound card.

Any ideas?

Have you:
Updated Graphics Card Drivers?
Updated Direct X 9?

People tend to have more problems with the FX line of video cards than any other GeForce series that I've seen from Nvidia.

O hey, the thing was solved.

It was weird and unexpected. It's a program that helps writing special characters on windows xp. When it's on: the game would act weirdly, but when it's off, it's ok.

But thanks for the tip about the FX series. I'll keep that in mind.
