Hi. I'm hoping the mods/admin at this site might be able to shed some like on what's going on athe the new DX3 forum launched by EidosMontreal.

1. Why has EidosMontreal created an entirely separate forum: http://www.forum.deusex3.com/eidosforum/eidos/viewForum.jsp?forum=4
I could understand that Ion Storm, as a studio, had a separate DX1 forum from the one launched by Eidos their publisher, but this Eidos and EidosMontreal are supposed to be the same company.

2. Will this forum eventually be deleted if the other DX3 forum becomes permanent?

3. Do you have any idea why they seem to have stopped sending out activation eMails over there for new members trying to register? Nobody's been able to register for ~3 days now.

4. Why are there no moderators over there? They don't even offer the means to report threads like the one linked here that got posted over 8 hrs ago: http://www.forum.deusex3.com/eidosforum/eidos/viewThread.jsp?forum=4&thread=82

It would be great if the Eidos insiders around here could look into this for us before we invest further effort posting somewhere, either here or there, that may very soon cease to exist.

Thanks.

First of all, the forum software has to be changed! ****

But that isn't my biggest problem right now. I've signed up a few days ago and still haven't received the activation e-mail. I've tried again today with an other e-mail address and the result is the same, no answer... :(

Does anybody else have this problem?

Yeah, as mentioned in my third question, everybody is having this problem at the moment. ...In fact, for more than 3 days now. :(

I'm mainly concerned with contibuting to a forum, be it this one or the other one, that is likely to disappear in the near future. I suppose there's always a small chance that Eidos will maintain both community sites.

Hi.

Hi.
I could understand that Ion Storm, as a studio, had a separate DX1 forum from Eidos their publisher, but you guys belong to the same company as EM.

As far as I know, Eidos Montreal is a studio. I don't disagree that having two forums might be slightly redundant, but I'm not Eidos employee, so I don't know what the general idea behind it is.

Don't think so. This forum isn't going anywhere. :D

This I don't know. I'm guessing they're having technical difficulties. Regarding their forum software which is, indeed, somewhat "odd", I remember Keir saying that it was just a temporary solution.

I am sure Keir will see this thread sooner or later, and I think he can shed more light on the issue.

Shortly before the the EidosMontreal Forum was closed down, the admin made a post stating that they were going to make this DX3-Eidosforum the official one.

So I guess your link is just a fan-forum.

that's not spam, it's the new viral marketing campaign for DX3 !!!!!So Zyme is going to be replaced by Phentermine, Nicolette DuClare will be replaced Britney Spears in a halloween costume (read: anything she's ever worn on stage), and Helios is now "Marl" The Stocks Robot?
