Why are people afraid of losing?

I play on PC version, and I usually host a 1vs1 server
most people I met are so coward, when they first join the server, they keep saying go go go, alright, I know people are excited about this game, so I start the game. Now the thing happens, when I killed most of their ships (say like only 2 CVs left in Battle of Coral Sea), they just left, and it happens over and over again. Sometimes even worse is that people just left the game when they got their first ship sunk, well, should I protect their ships rather than killing them?
Lastly, when people left and I got back to the lobby, the same guy came again and keep yelling to start the game again, jesus, I got to stop playing this game for a period

i think the first reason is...........that BSM is a teamgame and its stress to play all units alone!
i prefer to play only 3 maps 1v1 in BSM

you know, there aren't many people playing this game
I tried to host a 2v2 or 3v3 server, it took ages to wait and never fills up (maybe it's the different time zone)

I usually play this game on Sat/Sun night coz I can't find any players during weekdays:lol:

Really? I find loads of players on weekdays; mostly Italian or Polish. :scratch: I really feel uncomfortable playing 1 vs. 1 except on Air Superiority on Luzon. I recently played Solomons 1 vs. 1, and I got my butt whupped. I was completely stressed out! It's so hard to control everything! That's why I love 4 vs. 4, even if it's rare.

I am still at v1.0, I don't wanna update coz I kept having the router problem at v1.1.1, maybe that's why there aren't many people around, also the time zone is important

playing 1v1 is not easy, but when you have some teammates who don't listen/talk to you or they are just afk, you will be so pissed coz you aren't having the maximum effectiveness of the units, it's not the matter of win or lose, it the matter of communication :(

When I play online (EST) there are a good # of people, I wouldn't say that it's unpopular...:whistle:

Also,, I like 2v2 3v3, and sometimes 4v4. I rarely play 1v1. I do some times play 1v2, but last time, when I sunk their last ship, the booted me, and I rejoined to ask why they booted me, and they just laghed and said that they ****** me.
PS. It was I Sibuyan, I was Jap. And they lost (for anyone who can't tell).

I personaly wouldn't get mad anymore if anyone "dropped out". Connection issues are one reason. I have crashed many times in great games and I thought that they must never want me to join their session again.

Another reason is that sometimes important things come up and they have no (or little) choice.

I like the most players available to play (4vs4).
