View Full Version : Tomb Raider Legend Fatal Error

I bought TR:L a few days ago, and when I just off the cliff in the Kazachstan level it gives me a Fatal Error:

A fatal error has occured while playing Tomb raider: Legend. Please refer to the ReadMe file or information wich might help you solve this problem, or contact Eidos customer support.
I've downloaded and installed both the patches that are available on TombRaiderChronicles.
com.
I'm playing on Windows Vista home basic.

I only have this error while playing in Next Generation mode, I'm desprate becouse I've bought TRL becouse of the NG Mode :(

Yeah, several people have that problem for next generation, most of whom, like you, only have it on Kazakhstan. What are you running it on? (computer specifications)
I've run the game on the same computer as I always have but with several different OS over the months I've had the game. I have run the game on Windows Vista Home Premium, Windows XP and Windows Vista Ultimate. I have no problems with freezes or crashes. I have patch 1.2 and I'm running the game on a Pentium D processor with 3 gigs of RAM and a GeForce 8800 Ultra (used to run it on a GeForce 7950 GX2 and an Ati X850 prior to that.) I do, however, experience lags for some reason when on next generation.

I'm running on windows vista home basic- Pentium4 3Ghz, ATi Radeon HD 2600XT, 2GB of ram

I have the exact same problem, that's why I came here. I jump over cliff, game crash. I made it as far as the beginning of the interactive cutscene once, but still crash. I'm running it on XP, Dual core AMD, 2.02 Ghz, 2GB of ram with a NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GT/GTO

you can continue playing in Current-Gen, that's what I'm doing, untill the next level, I hope it's fixed overthere

It worked for me just fine, I turned next gen back on in the King Arthur funhouse, though it crashed again for me in Nepal after about 10 minutes into the level. I can't say it's the same thing though, I haven't tried again.
