Im sick of dieing!!!!!!!!!

haya im sick of playing TRAnniversary and dieing mainly when im trying to get past hard bosses for eg. those two half horse half men guys, i seriously need major HELP! has anyone got any TRA ps2 infaninte health or medi pact cheats or any sights which have these cheats, i no if you complete the time trials you win cheats but thats never going to happen:rolleyes: PLEASE IM SO DESPERATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As far as I know, there are no cheats available other than those that you win. You activate them simply by switching them on. I don't know of any way around that on the ps2.

Can you explain what part of the fight you're having particular difficulties with? The adrenalin dodge? The grapple? Tell us and we'll be able to help better.

I think everything that can possibly said about defeating the centaurs has already been said. I'm not sure anyone can offer you any new advice.

The only thing I can suggest is playing the game in Easy mode. That's how I played it, and I beat the centaurs without dying once. I assume they get a LOT tougher on the Medium and Hard difficulty levels.

Actually, they don't. The videos on the LaraCroftTRINC channel @ YouTube were recorded on Hard difficulty. Sure, I made a few mistakes here and there, but they're still nowhere near "throw-game-away" dificulty. ;)

Here's a tip from the Eidos Knowledge base...
To defeat the Centaurs you have to remove their shields, once this is done you use the shields to bounce back their ray to turn them to stone and then you can shoot them and large portions of health will come off of them.





Shoot one of the centaurs until the red bar under it's health fills up

When the centaur charges (this happens every 2nd time you aggravate it) and is in range do the adrenaline doge* and when the two crosshairs meet shoot.

After the headshot, the centaur should be stunned and lowers its shield, use this opportunity to grapple the shield and pull it off using triangle.

Repeat process for centaur no2.

Once both have the shields removed, pick one centaur and start shooting to anger it again and they will only use their 'ray'.

Stay close to the fallen shields and when the centaur starts his 'ray' pick up the shield and face him, he will turn to stone and your shots will have a fair amount of damage.

Repeat this process until both centaurs are dead.


* To perform the adrenaline dodge, whilst holding down L1 (lock on) and the centaur is charging and quite close, press Circle whilst moving the left analogue stick to the left or right. Lara will then jump to the side and the gameplay will slow down. When the two aiming reticules meet in the middle and turn red, press R1 to perform a headshot. Timing this is critical, if you do it too late you will be attacked and the dodge cancelled.

Another point to note, if the centaurs are using their ray on you, face away from them so Lara isn't turned to stone. It's only if she see's the ray that she will be turned to stone.

When the game starts, quickly save on an empty slot (or one you don't mind overwriting), get a lock on one of the centaurs, shoot a couple of rounds then run towards the water, swim for your life to the tunnel with the switch. Then wait patiently for said centaur to throw a wobbly and die a sloooow death. It really is very slow, so go make a cuppa, sandwich or something. When he's dead go back, target the second centaur and then swim back down and wait for him to die. When he's dead, you should be taken to the final cutscene.

It takes ages and you need a few medi-packs as the fire balls can reach you as you swim away, (you're safe in the cave).

haya thanks for all help!:o i have my game play set on medium, i have the guide book so i no how to defeat them but thier just to fast, im having big trouble with the grapple like it locks onto the shield but when i press the triangle button to take the shield away the grapple becomes lose and does not pull the shield away so it gets me really angry! i only have one medi-pack so thats why i was asking if anyone had any medi-pack cheats, i did once try to swim to the lever but i just keep dieing, i have gone on youtube and watched many walkthroughs but they all said that you need a lot of medi-packs so either way im at a loss!:(

you can beat the centaurs without using any medipacks!...
but you have to have rhythm(s)!

while there's two angry centaurs, anticipate a fireball every ~2 seconds.
by anticipate i mean automatically do a directional jump a/o roll without waiting to see the fireball.
also, try to not wander aimlessly.
instead choose two spots and sort of go back and forth between them.

after you dispatch one centaur, the remaining one becomes even more furious.
the fireballs come twice as fast but the strategy remains the same ...
(it takes practice but you'll slowly improve ...)

(ps. i couldn't look lara in the eyes if she used the underground cave cheat)

haya it takes practice your no kidding!!:) ive tried everything its 2 hard gee i would hate 2 play it on "hard" im struggling on "medium", but i will keep trying, i dont no what i will do when i pass it i think i will cry (im seriouse):lol:
