What's your ultimate guide to "House of Cards?"

Level number nine, and it has to be said. I just LOVE the hotel levels in Hitman games. Again, I’d be greatly interested to hear any additional comments/ alternative methods.

From the beginning, sprint into the hotel, and run up to the reception desk on the right hand side. Take the keycard, and go to the elevator. Head up to the seventh floor, and follow the corridor left, to the north-eastern most room on this floor. You don’t have a keycard, but that doesn’t matter. After a long wait, Henrich Schmutz comes up to his room. Sneak in behind him, and knock him out with a syringe. Take his room keycard, and SLP 40. S. Pistol, then leave his room. Trigger the nearby fire alarm, then head back to his room, drag him to the balcony and throw him over. :rasp: One down.

Once everything’s calmed down, collect the DNA briefcase, and take the elevator back to the lobby. As you’re going down, climb onto the elevator and ditch the pistol. Head out of the elevator and down to the casino floor, but instead of moving through the main floor (Which is covered by the ONLY camera in a LAS VEGAS CASINO:scratch: ) turn right and head through this door. Turn left and head down the corridor past the toilets and into the bar area. See those scary-looking guards there? Walk over to them and they scan you. Finding nothing, they wave you through to meet the Sheikh.

After the initial meet-and-greet, he dispatches his courier. You’re in for another long wait, so be patient. Eventually the courier comes with the payment, and leaves with the DNA samples. If you try to leave before the scientist confirms the samples, the Sheikh orders his guards to kill you, so stay put.:eek:

When he gets a phone call, follow from a safe distance. At the door into the back landing, a guard will run up and wave you away. Just retreat a little distance, and eventually the guard loses interest and walks away. At this point sneak through behind him, and sprint up the stairs. When the Sheikh begins to head back down, shove him down a flight of stairs from the top. He’ll die soon enough. :rasp: Two down, one to go.

Backtrack through the casino (remembering to collect the diamonds) and back to the elevator. As you head back to the seventh floor, climb on top, retrieve the pistol, and dump the briefcase. When you’re on the seventh floor, head round to the opposite side, and onto the balcony. Climb the terrace, and follow the ledge to the right, climbing in the window on the eighth floor. Head east until you get to the fire escape corridor, then go inside it. Place an RUAP mine somewhere it won’t get seen or cause any damage, then leave.

Activate a fire alarm, then head to the door of the north-western most room. The scientist leaves with two guards, then a short while later, another guard leaves. While the door’s still open, sprint inside and hide in the bathroom. Check the keyhole for when the scientist and his guard arrive back.

Sneak out of the bathroom, and syringe the guard. Then, head into the scientist’s room and quickly knock him out (no need to be subtle, speed is the key. Just headbutt him into unconsciousness, the guards won’t hear a thing.) Drag him out of this room nearer the balcony, and then detonate the mine. This will set off the fire alarm (and sprinklers) clearing out the rooms. :D Drag the scientist and throw him over the balcony, then leave.

When all the chaos dies down, call the elevator. Head down to the lobby, but remember to retrieve your case from the roof. From here, just follow the map to the exit.:thumbsup:

You will need your sniper in a case and silenced and a silenced weapon(like the silver baller)

From the beginning fun into the hotel and run up to the reception desk and goto the left elevator, go inside and when the door closes climb the hatch now you have to wait for the scientist. When he enters the elevator he will be alone so you can strangle him once the door closes strangle him take his key card 803 and leave the briefcase as you still need your sniper, Now leave the elevator and trigger the fire alarm thats close by and to room 803 and head into the bathroom or the bedroom it doesn't really matter once things have calmed down one guard will enter the room and start to watch the t.v open the door and pop him one in the head and take his suite(i guess you could also sedate him, now you gotta wait some more for the Sheikh
goto the map screen and watch the Sheikh until his marker stops moving, Now in room 803's bedroom there should be a cellphone on a table when you walk up to the cellphone it should have a redial Sheikh option once you call him you should see a split view of him trying to answer his cell phone now goto the balcony and pull out your sniper(nobody seems to find this odd :scratch: ) anyway after a few seconds the shiekh should appear on the back landing shoot him now you only have one guy left.

Ok now goto the 7th floor and to the most north eastern room and wait for Schmutz once he's close to his room shoot him(if you want you can drag him into his room but you don't really need too as nobody paths up that way)

now head back down going in the left elevator you can now pick up the briefcase with diamond's and follow the map to the exit.

fines suite retrieval $5000 custom weapons retrieval $5000

but this way won't get you any accidental deaths and a total fine of 10,000.

Hey, not bad. Glad someone has finally replied to one of these. I liked your method, but I've a couple of ideas to refine it.

1. Sedate the guard in the bedroom to avoid an unnecessary death.

2. After leaving the bedroom, activate another fire alarm to clear out the bedroom. At this point you'll be able to retrieve your suit.

3. Take your rifle and it's case into your bedroom on the 7th floor. Take the rifle out and place it in the agency container (You may have to empty it out first.)

Doing these things will eliminate your fines (You retrieve your suit, and the agency collects your rifle from the hotel room pro bono if you put it in the agency box).

hmm didn't know i could leave my rifle in the agency box and get it picked up for free thanks for the tip. ill post some of the other's i was able to get the hitman rating on.

Sure they collect it for free. The agency boxes are also used to smuggle in the SP12 or the M4 if you want (funnily enough walking into the lobby of a hotel carrying an assault rifle is a good way to get shot!)

The way I see it, an agency courier secrets an agency box somewhere it won't attract attention, then collects it afterwards. They are also really pretty useful for sneaking rifles out of a level if you plan on collecting all the guns.

For this you will need your sniper rifle, only be firing one shot so bolt-action's fine and, as always, a silencer and scope are must-have

At the start of the level, run into the hotel and talk to the receptionist at the desk on the right hand side of the lobby. Pick up the keycard and use it to get up to the seventh floor and into your room. Leave your rifle case in here and head back down to the lobby.

If its not the one you've been using, head into the left hand lift (looking from the entrance) and once the doors have closed climb up through the hatch.
It shouldn't take too long for the Sheik's scientist to get in at which point you should take out your fibrewire and strangle him. When he's dead drop down and pick up the diamond suitcase and his keycard, then take the case to your room. One down.

Leaving the diamonds in your room, head back down to the lobby and wait in the other lift. Exactly the same thing here, although a slightly longer wait. Eventually, Heindrik Schmutz will leave the bar and get into the lift on his way to collect the DNA suitcase from his room. When he does, strangle him and take his gun if you havn't got one already (Can't remember which one it is but I think it might be the first time you come across it). Just one left now, and you'll get to use your sniper for this one!

When Scmutz is dead, take the lift up to the eighth floor and wait by the fire alarm near room 803. After a while, you'll get a message informing you of the Sheik's arrival. Follow his progress on your map and when he stops in the bar pull the fire alarm. This will cause everyone on the floor to run to the lift area (For some reason, all the stairs have been blocked...*tut*..I'm sure that's against safety regulations). Take this opportunity to run into room 803 and into the bedroom. The scientist's mobile is on a desk in here (Even though he never made it into the room) and activating it will redial the Sheik. Luckily for you, there doesn't seem to be particularly good reception in the casino, and the Sheik is forced to leave the safety of the building to answer his phone. Run back to the lifts and take one down to the seventh floor. Go to your room, take out your rifle and head onto the balcony. The Sheik should either just be heading outside or will already be there, either way, pop a bullet in his head and head back inside. All dead, now youv'e just got to get out.

Leave your rifle in the agency box (Unless of course you don't want the thousands of dollars worth of diamonds, I'll leave that up to you) and pick up the diamond case. No all you have left to do is to calmly take a lift down to the lobby and taking a right at the end of the stairs head down to the exit. For some reason, all the people looking out of their windows and standing on the balconies wont notice the Shiek's body, just as his bodyguards don't mind his abscence.

Here's what I do. No equipment needed beyond the standard package.

First, head to the reception desk and pick up your keycard. Head up to the elevators and wait for the scientist to arrive (should be very soon). Pop into the elevator on the left and climb up into the hatch and wait. Once the scientist enters the elevator (he leaves his guard at the elevator door and a new one shows up on his floor to escort him to his room) and it starts up, strangle him. Take his keycard and the payment case. This gets you access to the eighth floor too, though theres no reason to go there.

Head to floor 7, go to your room, and put the payment case down for safe keeping. Now, head to the balcony at the north side of the hotel on the 7th floor, where an employee is taking an infinite smoke break. Hop over the rail on the right side and slink along the ledge to the next balcony. The employee will not notice you. A guard patrols that back corridor from time to time, and he's all you have to watch for. If you hurried, Schmutz should be coming out onto his balcony when you reach the balcony in the middle. Wait for him to head back inside, or to leave his room again (once he heads back in he stands in the room with the large window for a while looking at himself in the mirror, so you can tell when he's back inside). He probably will head back down to the casino one last time before retrieving the DNA case, but if you're quick you can jump to his balcony, sneak in, and plant a bomb in his case before he ever leaves his room, but it's not necessary to be so quick, as you can just wait for him to leave again.

If you snuck in before he left his room, head back out to the balcony afterwards and wait for him to leave. Either way, once he's gone and the bomb is planted, leave through his room door and head to your room and retrieve the payment case. Head down to the lobby, into the casino area, and through the first double doors on the right, and into the bathroom. Wait around in the dark corner near the staff only door for Schmutz to come down and use the bathroom with the DNA case (and bomb), then, after he leaves, occupy that stall, as he won't be needing it anymore. Get ready with your detonator. Once the meeting begins between the two, you should get a little side scene that shows them both and the Sheik gets up and walks over to him. Once he's in his face, blow the bomb.

Now, you can either wait in the stall for things to die down, and then leave, or head out immediately towards the exit, and you're home free.

Okay, first go check in and go to your room. Drop the sniper off here and go to the right elevator, climb the elevator ready to strangle schmutz when he comes. From here, go grab a drink since it will take some time before schmutz moves his ass up the elevator. When he arrives strangle him and take his cloths/room card & gun (optional). If you took the gun, go and lay it in the ICA container at your room. Now go and grab the DNA case and go to the sheikh. heres another waiting time, and by now, the drink you drank ealier want to get out of your body so go do that. When you come back the diamonds should've arrived but yet, more waiting time. twiddle your tumbles until the sheikh gets a call. follow him by getting caught by the guard and go through the doors while hes on hes way back (see first post for methode explained better). Strangle/push him over the stairs ect. what ever, just kill him. go get the diamonds and return to your room. Grab the sniper and go to Schmutz' room. From here you can snipe the scientist. now go back to your room with sniper and place it in the ICA container. Grab the diamonds, take the right elevator, grab your suit and escape.

I like this mission too, I've been replaying it trying everything from going postal with the M4 to sneaking.

This is the best method I've found for being silent. You don't need to bring any weapons, but you can bring a pistol if you want.

1. Get your key card and head to your room, but don't go in.

2. Wait a few seconds and an employee will walk by. After he passes you, walk up behind him and sedate him.

3. Drag him back to your room and get his clothes and key card. His key card will open any door on the 7th floor.

4. Go to to room 707 and hide in the corner behind the drink machine. When Schmutz comes along knock him out. I like to shove him into the door before he opens it to knock him out or if you brought a pistol you can run up and take him hostage, then knock him out. Just knock him out, don't kill him yet. Take his clothes and pistol.

5. Now go out in the hall and pull the fire alarm, then go back to Schmutz's room and drag him out to the balcony and toss him over. If you don't pull the alarm, the people in room 705 will see you and alert the guards.

6. Get the DNA briefcase, and go meet the Sheikh. After he gets his phone call, follow him outside. I have a hard time making him look like an accident though, for some reason shoving him down the stairs never kills him, it just knocks him unconscious. After you take care of the Sheikh, get the payment briefcase, go to the exit and set it down.

7. Now go back up to the 7th floor and out to the balcony where the guy is taking his smoke break. Climb up to the 8th floor and into the window. You need to do this quietly or the smoking guy will turn around and see you.

8. From here you can go into the employee room and sedate an employee to get the 8th floor key card that opens any door on the 8th floor, or just pull the fire alarm and run into room 801 when that guy runs out.

9a. If you sedated an employee and got the 8th floor key card, pull the fire alarm and go into the scientist's room when it's clear and hide in the closet.

9b. If you didn't bother to get the key card, pull the fire alarm and run into room 801 before the door closes. Go out on the balcony and jump over to the balcony of the scientist's room, go in and hide in the closet.

10. When the scientist comes in exit the closet and knock him out with the pistol using the take hostage/knock out deal (if you didn't bring a pistol, you should have taken Schmutz's pistol before disposing of him).

11. Go through the bathroom and knock out the guard using the pistol. Then go drag the scientist out on the balcony and toss him over. Jump across to the adjacent balcony, wait for the guy in the room to go to the bathroom and exit from his room.

12. Go back to your room, get your suit, head to the exit and pick up the payment briefcase.



Now for the quick and dirty method:

You'll need a silent weapon (pistol or SMG) and a remote mine.

1. Go in the hotel and to the bar. Run past the two guards by the Sheikh's private area, through the doors in the back and up the stairs. Wait for the guards to come up and kill them. Go back down the stairs and drop a mine on the right side of where the Sheikh will sit.

2. Go back to the hotel lobby and enter the elevator on the left. The scientist should be arriving shortly. Climb the hatch and wait for him. When he enters the elevator, use the fiber wire and pull him up into the shaft. Get his briefcase.

3. When the door closes, jump down and go back to the lobby. Enter the elevator on the right, climb the hatch and set down the briefcase. Wait for Schmutz to enter the elevator and fiber wire him. Pick up the payment briefcase and jump down.

4. Go to the bar and wait for the Sheikh to arrive. When he does, detonate the mine.

5. Leave.

I don't know what my guide would be, as I could never kill the arba dude without getting caught. It does not matter if I put a bomb in the briefcase or just shoot him, I always lose my cover.
