graphics for TR are nice , but the total lack of control is just horriable.

and as long as the series continues to be popular , the company wont change anything..not 1 bit.. eh maybe better graphics , but everthing is still the same.

And the funny thing is , I dont even play TR , But my 76 yr old father in law does. And 1 week ago He finally got rid of his 6/7 year old computer wich ran TRL just fine with NP. Now he has a brand new computer that has problems with TRL - go figure . LOL , his old computer ran the game smooth and not 1 single problem ... His new computer runs the game smooth also and it looks great , but from time to time the game will act really weird for no reason .

As for me, my father in law asked me to help him solve the problem , so I came here looking for answears , And One Conclusion Ive came up with is -
Out of all the people who have problems with TRL - not 1 person has had their Questions / Problems solved .. Can anyone point me to someone who has had a problem with TRL AND the problem was Solved , because someone actually gave good advice ??? . nooo ?? didnt think soo .


Im a gamer -20+ yrs and Ive been to many game forums, not for help , but to give help to fellow gamers . And From the Answears Ive seen given here for some of the Questions is Just absurd and its sad people who have no idea what they are talking about , are just spouting off junk .

Why arent the Devs here giving answears ?? . TRL has been out for awhile now , So why arent the problems fixed Yet ??? .

Its pretty bad when an old computer that doesnt even meet the minimum specs can run the game just fine , but a brand new computer has problems.

well the problem was or is , that when playing the game he would get to a point where a certain Item or Object is supposed to be , But isnt there.
Like water or a Light post on a wall , set of stairs and so on.

today I watched him play and he got to a point where Fire was supposed to be coming out of the floor . (I dont play the game , So I didnt know what exactly he was talking about) .

after he walked to the spot where the fire was supposed to be , Laura would die . -- So he rebooted , I checked the temp of the Vid card , mobo , Cpu
ect , and everything checked out fine .

he started up the game and went back to the same spot and the fire was there , but now a set of stairs was missing Or water that was supposed to be in a Room was missing .

you Could see where the stairs should be , but they wernt there.
ect ect.

So we uninstalled the game , Then reinstalled the game , Patch and all .
But it didnt help , same problem.

made sure all the Drivers/firmware for everything in the computer wer up to date , rebooted . Nooo good same problem .

uninstall the game , reinstall the game -patched. --nooo good , same problem.

set the Duo Core to , 1 Core -- noo good didnt help.

Looked on the internet for almost 8 hours for everything related to problems with TRL , nooo good , no one has any answears.

which I think is really , p*ss poor on Eidos part , they know there is a problem with the game , but never fixed it . Just Look on the net , lots of people have problems with this game apparently .

but I guess after what ? 7 games and 2 movies later , it really doesnt matter if the minority of the people are having problems .

I guess the next step is for me to install the game on my computer and see If I come up with the same problems he does .

Has your father in law got a 7300LE grapics card? I have read on a couple of posts that a people have had problems with these cards drawing water, in TRA so this may also be the case for TRL.

I'm not sure how well TRL runs on vista, if your father in law has vista this could also be the route of the problem.
