What if Moebius is the soul reason for this whole mess. What if he wasn't corrupted when Nupraptor did he mind blast.
Lets take this scenario. Moebius hates vamps for some reason. So he wants to serve a message to all vamps by killing the most ancient vampire, Janos. Being the time guardian he can see into the future. As a result of his 'growing' abilities he gains the ability or insight to model what would happen if certain events happened in time. He takes the event of Janos's death. Vorador attacks, the circles magic is failing. Taking a theory that has been on this forum before, that the momentary lapse in power was due to Janos's death and Hash was somehow able to infiltrate Mortanius due to lack of power of the pillars. Moebius now looks further into time and sees Nupraptors mindblast and is affected. Some people have given the theory that the corruption meant that the guardians would serve their own selfish desires. As a result Moebius plans out an entire plot to do this. Everything falls into place and Moebius gets what he wants, Janos's death. 500 years later all the other guardians are corrupted.
I know what ur gonna say, at 500 years before the corruption the pillar of time was not corrupted, but what if the pillar is somehow exclude from the corruption before it physically happens.
its flawed, but its something to think about

I seriously doubt that Mortanius was possessed at this time, it's unlikely that he'd allow himself to be captive to Hash'ak'gik for 530+ years.

And humans don't need to be magically cursed to be corrupt :D

I just read on the Silicon Knights official Blood Omen site that Moebius was affected by Nupraptor's madness. But here's the thing -

It says that before the corruption, Moebius became the Oracle and gave advice to people. What it didn't say, though, is that he was giving people the wrong advice. Not until after the corruption did he become twisted, it said. But in SR2, it said he was always giving false advice when he was the Oracle.

I really don't know which one is the truth. Perhaps Chris can clear this up?
