Hello.
I was just looking through a box of old games when i found a bunch of old tomb raider games. So, I started to play some "Premier collection"-version of Tomb Raider 2. The installation works well and everything else until I've finished the first level. The game just shuts down leaving some error sign left on the screen. The sign says: FATAL: Level 2(E:\data\boat.TR2) requires a new TOMB2.EXE (version 1425855) to run.
Now, I basicly know nothing about computers and that stuff so I would really be grateful to get some help on this one, thanks.
And after that i tried to play tombraider 1. So, I put in the cdrom and the whole screen just gets black. I tried ctrl+alt+del a few times but nothing happened. After a while the black dissappears and the graphics on the wallpaper gets all weird. A sign comes up saying that a fatal error has occured and that I have to save everything and shut down the computer. I tried starting the game again but then it gets black at first, and then a weird sign comes up saying that the game is in some "eternal loop". All I can do is to shut down the computer again.
That's about it.
Please give me some advice.
Thanks.

I assume you're using Windows XP? For Tomb Raider 2, all you need to do is to right-click on the shortcut you use to launch the game (you can use the one on the Start menu), and choose Properties. In the dialog box that pops up, select the Compatibility tab, tick Run this program in compatibility mode for and choose Windows 98 / Windows ME and click OK.

Tomb Raider 1 is more difficult to get working because it's so old and was designed to run in a DOS environment, so you're going to have to use a couple of programmes to simulate that environment on your computer. There's a very useful and easy-to-follow technical guide here (http://www.tombraiderhub.com/faq/tr1.html) that you can take a look at.
