Hi all,
A little new to the boards, but still a big fan of Startopia. After playing a few old games (including the wonderful SimGolf, and DK2), I decided to load up Startopia and give it another whirl.
Although at 1600x1200 it looks absolutely brilliant, I do find it very hard to read the text. My question is, what have you done to make Startopia look better on your rig?
I have all the graphics maxed, but in order to read the text, I've been relegated to 1280x960.
I tried using the 1.02 experimental patch...but the shadows were very pixellated looking, although it made a huge difference in the way everything looked. It was smooth, but unfortunately, just to blocky to enjoy. Plus, the glossiness stops working. :(
I've heard that updated your CardID.Tom would help...does anyone have anything that's up-to-date? I'd like to run 1600x1200 with larger text as well. Thanks all!
