I am totally stuck!!! Tomb of Qualopec, major grappling issues. Heeeelp!!! (Spoilers)

Ok, I'm going insane now. You know in the room with the big stone face, where you have to do a double-grapple accross the ceiling to get to a lever to raise one of the gates? Well, it's ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE for me to do it, I've tried every concievable method, been at it for over an hour, can't do it.

One thing worth mentioning, the second ring where I shot the gong down still has a wooden bar going accross it.

No piece of wood.

Did anyone else have wood accross the ring? I think this must be a bug, like, the gong's shot down only the game thinks it's not.

If this IS a bug, does anyone know of a way to restart a level?

You can't restart the level, all you have to do is look behind you and locate a ledge.

EDIT: After another look at that screen, there should be a gong, and there isn't. It's a bug. :(

Absolutely UNBELIEVABLE!

I mean... dude... I gotta lie down!

I was just about to give up entirely and play all the way back through the lost valley from a previous save game to get back to that point, I decided ONE LAST TRY and then I'm finished with it. I do it one last time and it only bloody worked, didn't it??? It's working perfectly now, I can swing back and forth all day going ring-to-ring. What're the odds?

Outrageous...

So I guess I don't need help any more, but hey, big love to you all. Of all the forums I've ever been on, I don't think I've ever found one with such warm, welcoming family spirit as this one.

Well, he said that he had already shot it down.

Glad you got it sorted. You're not the first to post an issue with this point. I was getting ready to sit down and make a bunch of savegames to assist PC users. When I get to this point, I'll post the save here so that others having this problem can skip past it if they'd like.
