Time Trial Glitch?

Okay, so in Time Trial mode, whenever I die, the time keeps ticking away, so lets say i died at 8:06 to go, when its done loading its now at 7:49 to go. It did this in two levels so far, but not all. Is this a glitch? Because let me tell you, this bites big time, I get so far in a level, and then boom, I die once and I have to start over because the loading time takes too long.

You are being penalised for dying, solution is not to die. The time penalty seemed much harsher in Legend, Anniversary is more generous if you die.

okay but why does the time have to tick during the mini cut scenes....like if I had my druthers I wouldn't stand there for 5 seconds going...wow, what big doors they have! oooh, a gorilla! or stuff like that....

Yeah but you can't skip these ones. It's like the little cutscene after you pull a cog lever and just keeps ticking.

the time trials are murder... i think my ps2 remote might be damaged which is why its so hard. Her commands are behind. I'm so frustrated with her constantly reloading her gun when a fricken gorilla is coming when i really just want to dive out of the way.
