View Full Version : Help cant find CD in drive!

Hey i just gt the game and it looks great but my PC is not able to find it the cd is not in the drive as it looks to be, i tried both my regualr and dvd drives and loked for it vie add and remove programs.. can any one help or is the Cd defective?
ok returned Cd got new one it works but now when i install it or try to i get maybe up to two green bars then i got past it to about half way and it says error that i have to verify something about sound on teh tqwo bars and then about some bnk file at half way, ill get a pic but if any one knows this before hand any thing helpes =)

how am i supposed to verify? or how can i get around this ive been trygin fro the past couple hours all i want to do is play ! =*(

Check to see if your CD/DVD is dirty or scratched. Disable any popup blocker and virus checker. See if that helps.

i returned the Cd and got new one so it cant be found no scrathces at all on it it just keeps saying verify this or that and i click retury later on it will ask fo somethign else idk what else to do

Do you have Norton works installed?
When installing have you tried not using your browser. Let teh install be the only thing open.

ok io got the game working and i have XP, but i custom did the installation with no moies... it works for the most part.. althogugh it has ingame cinimatics and it freezes and then takes for ever the load the campaign, but i cant log onto multiplayer, it says unable to connect..ok its Error trying to connect to server casue i need to register and it wont let me i took down my firewalls and i unblocked the game idk what to do now and i am runnign the latest patch.
and everytime i run teh game i have to eject and put it back in so my pc can find the game.. im sorry to say but this game is great just never had so many problems with one=*(,does any one knwo the problem to this and to my mul;tiplayer problem?

where can i fidn that i cant find it the caching is for windows 95 and i got to leave for school in a minute, please can you place down the teps to fix me cacheing i have to get to school rightnow ill be back by 11 since its early release day =) ( i have XP home ed.)

Reduce Drive Caching
To reduce CD-ROM or DVD drive caching:1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click System and then on the Performance tab, click File System .
3. On the CD-ROM or DVD tab, move the Supplemental Cache Size slider to Small.
4. In the Optimize Access Pattern For box, click No Read-Ahead.
5. Click OK, and then click Close.
6. When you are prompted to restart your computer, click Yes.
if it dont work there are more solutions for the problem!!

ok i got most of it but where do i do tfile system in the proformance tab i cant find that if i did i would do it plus at the moment im in school using the cpu after i got done with my work, um also do you think you know what to do about the multiplayer problem i am facing?
