Its so dark!

When i started the first mision the first thing i noticed was that it was too dark! All i can see is some boxes, trucks and an enemy.I turned the brightness all the way up but it still is very very dark.Plz tell me theres a way to fix this.:confused:

Well, since no one else has tried to help, I'll just mention a few obvious things that you've probably already tried.

Firstly, the game is darkish anyway. When you turn up the brighness is it the brightness of your monitor or the brightness slider accessible in the game settings? If you had a link to a screen image somewhere it might help some other folks make some suggestions too.
