Get rid of Vista no seriously Vista has problems with with many games and until the game makers put out a patch there is nothing you can do. You might google it and find a workaround though

The drivers for Vista are still pretty unstable for many games. Until the driver mess gets better and if you have the option I would use XP for now instead of Vista.

Wonderful. Looking for tech support and first thing I see is some lieutenant commander guy of BSM forum says I just bought a lemon. Great support for this game. Better get my money back.
I got no probs with vista for other nice new and older games, and support makes for quick remedy if there is an issue.
Wonder why then it lists Windows Vista as optimum OS on the BSM game box. What a drag. As much the developers fault as it is Windows, as it is mine for buying any of it.
BS is right. Don't know about the M part. Never got there. ****

Wruff; I don't think that is entirely fair. Every major release of Windows up to and including XP has caused a myriad of problems with legacy software and legacy hardware and drivers for same. It was bound to be the same for Vista. For every person who has a problem running this game under Vista there will be 10 who don't. And those who do will all have different symptoms, caused by different problems.
Give it a good six months, when the video card manufacturers (especially) have had a chance to test Vista to death and you should start seeing dependable, stable drivers released.
If anyone is to blame here, imho, it is Microsoft; but thats progress.

In store credit. Lucky for that. Wal Mart Super Mega Store accross the street. Always better ways to spend my $40 there so it's no sweat.
Went and picked up DEFCON. Global Nuclear Domination Game. Works great. The patch was right there in their multiplayer loby just a click away.
