Hitman has encoutered a problem and needs to close. HELP

I don't know if I'm the only one that is having this problem. But when I go to play Hitman and I click on the icon a box appears saying
HitmanBloodMoney.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

I played this game on my old motherboard just fine a while ago, but I have recently upgraded to a dual core with a NVIDA 7 series graphics card.
I know that my computer meets and exceeds the requirements I just don't get why I cant play it?

I amhaving the same issue. I am running Windows XP Pro SP2, with and AMD athlon 64 x2 4200+. All latest drivers with nvidia geforce 7600 gs.

This is a fresh install of the game and when I launch it I get this error.

Fixed the issue. Go to "C:\Program Files\Eidos\Hitman Blood Money\" and run configure.exe I saw that a screen resolution was not set. Play around with the options there and it loaded. Hope this helps everyone else!
