Iīm running Tombraider 1 under OS X in Classic mode, works fine except lack of rendering, eg i canīt see the load or saved games, and Lara is not complete rendered, I have tried with macglide drivers but Classic crashes when i try to use them.
Any suggestions anyone how to solve the problem?

Hi marcooleo. Unfortunately, I can only confirm that I have the same problems with TR1. You can't see the text and part of Lara is unrendered, but it is still playable. I haven't tried MacGlide yet, but I plan to give it a try.
Just out of curiosity, have you tried TR4 TLR? My viewing distance is quite short, and the view fades to black, so I usually can't see the end of a room. This is apparent even on the main menu with the camera flying through various rooms.

Well how 'bout that, it worked as advertised. I downloaded the latest MacGlide from SourceForge, started Classic, installed it, quit Classic, started Classic (just being overly cautious), started TR1 setup, chose 3dfx as the renderer, quit the setup program, then started TR1, and voila, everything was rendered properly! I can now finally see the first cut-scene (could only hear it before). I hope this helps.

I just figured out it is my newer graphics board that causes the problem in Classic OS 9. I replaced with the old card and the game runs fine.
Problem is i cannot find any old OS 9 driver for this newer card, ATI Radeon 9000 Pro AGP 64 Mb.
If anyone know where to find such a driver i would be very happy.

Hi again
Finally i found a driver for my card and Tr1 runs fine in OS 9. I have downloaded MacGlide and installed it, problem is when i chose 3dfx in setup and runs the game in OS X, Classic crashes after the cutscene.

Glad you found a driver for your video card. I'm not sure about your problem of Classic crashing. I have had display problems if I start TR from the setup program, so, as I mentioned, I start the setup program, make my change, stop the setup program, then start TR. I've also had problems if I leave Classic idle too long and it presumably goes to sleep, so I start Classic immediately before I use a Classic app. Plus I start Classic by itself first, instead of having TR start Classic. These are trivial things, but they work for me. You may need to reinstall Classic. Good luck.
