I've been hearing about this alot lately. What exactly is the Red Ring of Death?

It can be a major hardware faliure, but has also been known to be your 360 thermal shutdown. (ie if you let it cool down and try again should be ok)

being someone who had it happen to them, for me it was hardware failure where my 360 would not work and it had to be sent in for repairs

I'm not sure witch, but one of them means the AV is unpluged, so check!!

I thought AV unplugged was amber lights.

3 quaters is the most notorious one, 'Critical Hardware Failure' thankfully my 360 had just recived its extended warrrenty when it broke

yea I left it for about 2 months, is that enough? any hows I sent it to microsoft, got it fixed and I also bought for £10 a external cooling system, basicly 3extra fans

no it doesn't, there external and simply clip onto the back :o

True it only clips on but uses your USB for a power source and causes your 360 to lose power for its' own internal components.

tell that to my xbox wright now, agreed its a bit noisier but its better then no-xbox :o And it leeches out of the power socket on the back and creates a new one in its place.

i've called to microsoft and they had to pick it up last week...
i'm at my dad now so i hope that when i'm back, it's atleast at microsoft :(
