What do they do? There's 'Grouped Attack', 'CAP' with numbers and
'AI flight Deck" I guess AI flight Deck is inherited from CVs. Does anybody
know what do these orders do?

I had the same problem figuring out what the whole ai flight deck thing did due to lack of documentation. I think i have mostly figured it out but there may be some things i'm missing.

AI Flight Deck: This automates the carriers so that they automatically launch the respected type of plane at whatever enemy unit you target e.g fighters for aircraft, bombers for ships, not sure if it is smart enough to target subs with depth charge dive bombers (i haven't tried it).

Group Attack: When this is set off your planes will attack to their target as soon as they are launched. With it set on, all attacking aircraft will circle the carrier until all squadrons are launched and thus will attack as a group.

Cap (Combat air patrol): I know little about this one because i don't use it often. So, I could be wrong. I think it is the number of fighter squadrons that the carrier will launch to guard a two mile radius (the standard cap distance for all aircraft) above the carrier.

I usually use ai flight deck in 1v1 because it drastically cuts down on the amount of multitasking and babysitting controlling planes requires, allowing me to spend more time managing my ships without worrying that my planes are doing nothing.

Edit: Something i have noticed is that the Ai flight deck is only available in multilayer, and for some reason it doesn't work on the battle of Samar for me. I'm not sure if it doesn't work on other maps but i'm positive it works on Corral Sea.

Thank you fo ryour detailed reply. I assume it's the same for the airfield
eventhough it has no flight deck. As you said this might help a lot during
1 vs 1 games.
