Aircraft in mp maps

In some mp maps can you allocate more aircraft to one squadron EG 5 avengers in one squadron while in other maps you only have three aircraft per squadron.Last night was on battle of phillipines map and the guy on the American side was sending up 5x avengers in one squadron then once they were shot down he would send up 5x wildcats.When I tried that tactic in Island of solomns later it would not allow me to do that only restricted to three aircraft a squadron even deducted planes from other squadrons but nothing.Only three in a squadron.

That was also the demo map but IDK if that has anything to do with it. What are you getting at?....A question?

I noticed the same myself - just was lazy not to report it here.
My observation is that it not only depends on the map but the side you take as well.
My experience is that the US carriers can do a free allocation of the 9 planes (e.g. 5 planes in one squad as said above) where Japanese ones can not!
For me it is evident on the Coral Sea MP map. Take a Jap carrier and you can NOT do it. Take a US one and you can.
This is seriously retarded design if it holds true...

on the philipines mp map the USS Hornet has a x/12 plane cap

On Solomon, the CV says 12, but puts out 9!!
