Has anyone tried this game on a Dell Inspiron E1505? It's got a Intel Duo 1.73 GHz, 1 GB Ram, 128MB ATI Mobility Radeon X1300 video card. I really want to get this game but wanted to know before buying.
I know that the minimum requirements are:
Windows XP/Vista Meets req
Processor: PIII 2.1 GHz (Wondering if 1.73 GHz is enough)
DirectX 9.0c Meets req
512 MB RAM Meets req
Free hard drive space: 6 GB Meets req
3D Accelerator 64MB DirectX 9.0c Meets req
DirectX-compliant Sound Card Meets req
Anyone please advise!
THANKS!

It should work fine, as I am running the game on my Dell XPS M140 (AKA 630m) with a 1.73 Pentium M, 1.25 gig memory, and the included, standard GMA 900 video card. Settings are as low as they can go, but it still plays fine in both single player and multi-player modes. It would be nice to have better graphics, but spending $400 for an Xbox or ~$800 for a new computer is not nice.
So much for not meeting the minimum specs...

Dude your totally fine.
I'm running the game on HIGH with almost no problems on a 1.6Ghz 512ram LAPTOP. You can run high textures and object detail along with water reflections and foilage at 1024x800 and it looks real sharp, just TURN OFF CLOUDS!!! and anti-aliasing. You'll still have clouds shown in the skybox just not those high-density ones like the smoke-effects in the new Call of Duty games, real graphics hogs.
The only time I get chopy framerates are when say I sink two ships that are next to each other that are billowing smoke and some other ships run through them, but that rarely happens since *cough there are no 100unit mass battles as advertised*cough*

Thanks guys!
I'm getting me a copy ASAP!
Is downloading it from PCGamer.com OK or should I buy it and keep a hardcopy?
Is it safe/secure?
If I DL it off PCGamer.com will I be able to burn a copy to backup?
