Will hitman work on Vista?

I recently bought a new PC and put Vista on it. However it will not run as it is looking for DX9 files. Is there any way to make hitman run on Vista?

EDIT: I ran the launcher and told it to install direct x 9.0 even though I'm running vista and it's on direct x 10. However this seemed to have done the trick as it checked everything, did what it needed to do and let me run the game. I only ran through the first trainer level but everything seemed hunky dory. No crashes or anything. Whether it'll start crashing once I knuckle down and play the game, I don't know- but I guess I'll find out!

I'we just installed Vista Ultimate, DirectX 9c from Microsoft, installed Hitman Blood Money + patch 1.2 - and it works. :)

Neither of you mentioned if you're using 32 or 64 bit Windows. I've got 64bit Vista Ultimate running, and i CANNOT start Hitman Blood Money. The program crashes back to the desktop straight at the beginning, no splash screens, nothing.

Anyone got the same problem/a solution?

i have same problem, black screen, red bar to start loading, then crash back to desktop.

Have you tried running it in Windows XP SP2 compatibility mode with administrator rights checked? (You can do all that by right clicking on the icon and going to properties, in the compatibility tab).

it happend at me and even if i dont have vista u need a better graphic card and the newest vr of direct x to work
