View Full Version : European Release Date Announced!
Here's an exclusive for this forum.
Along with a US street date of the January 30th, it's my pleasure to announce that Battlestations: Midway will be released on the 9th of February in Europe, this date will also apply to our Antipodean* cousins
I'm not sure if I'll get the demo release dates today for one reason and another. Don't worry though, they're not being delayed. You'll be the first to know. One announcement today isn't bad though :D

My pleasure! I managed to twist PR's arm so you guys get to hear it first. The official press release doesn't go out until Monday

So being in the States I can actually maybe find the demo dates out tonight if you post at the same time tomorrow London time?

Well, if I don't find out by around 3pm GMT (it's 1214pm now for reference) it probably won't be until Monday I'm afraid.
The reason for the delay of the announcement is that marketing have various other commitments that still need to be finalised before a date becomes official. I'll do my best to keep you guys in the loop. Thanks for you patience, not long to go now.

:D Thanks for all the info you have provided us so far, i have been reading these forums daily for quite a while and i just decided to sign up today, and to me it seems as if a small part of the community are pretty ungrateful, but compared to some other companies with regard to game announcements i think this is one of the best there is always something new every week so i would like to thank you for the info you have provided to the community over this game's development.

I'm glad you signed up, make yourself at home
I don't think anyone is ungrateful as such, people are just keen to see the game and are frustrated by the long line of delays, which is perfectly understandable really. Anyway, I think it's cool that I'm in a position to let you lot know what's going on, so long may it continue!

I absolutely love that you are on here Kier and give us information quickly and without the PR screen. I just hope the support continues well into the life of the game.
EDIT: And thanks again for a quick and honest response to my post above. :)

Why do americans get everything first,
Its like this. They think of it (americans) We start it( uk-ians) They finish it, we steal it, they attack us with insults, we perfect it, They try to steal it back, we get tired of it, americans love it :S

Well the Yanks need a bit of time to practice before we get on and "kick their butts" (I believe that is the term in their parlance)

Hi all!
Finally a good game to play with ships and aircrafts in WWII with USA vs JAPAN. I don't remember an accurate game about that war like Battlestation Midway (for what I can read about it). Other games were only fly simulators, like that of Microsoft. I remember a similar game, but only like idea, not like graphics or engine or AI: it was "The complete carriers at war". I bought it in 1996: it worked in DOS!
Did someone play with it? It was the beginning of "serious" pc videogames ..
