Atari Australia has released 11 new PC screenshots from BattleStations: Midway that comes on January 18th, 2007 in North America on PC and Xbox360.

those pictures showcasing the aerial combat makes me drool. this game has the potential to be as satisfying as watching a movie for spectators.

i want to fly the goose!

i think it could be useful, with it you can see where your shells are, and if you have another ship attacking the same ship you are, it would be easier to figure out who is hitting and who is missing

Yeah easier, but still looks silly. The only thing i want in the air is explosions, bullets and flak puffs :cool:

I haven't seen any tracers with the shells, seems to only be for flack, AA and bullets

there are, in some shots you can see a white vapor trail behind the shells

these vapor trails do exist on many types of ammunition used i guess, every old ww2 clip i see when a fighter is shooting, it has little white trails...

He is right,I remember something on the History Channel mentioning the bullets breaking the speed of sound,and therefore creating this effect. Now,I dont remember how far the whitish streak stayed,but it did happen.

There was a tracer round every 5'th shell, The pilots wanted to know where their shell was going. Because the shaking of the plane sometimes messed the sight up.
