Thsi could be old news to some, but I just picked up Tomart's Action Figure Review and in there they said that NECA is going to be releasing new Legacy of Kain figures. I've already got all of the ones BBI released, and I have all of NECA's RE4 figures, so these are going to be awesome. I'll probably buy two of each just to have ones to open.
you don't just mean the ugly kain figure that's coming out do you? if you get my hopes up on a raziel figure with the reaver or anything and it doesn't happen i'll EAT YOUR SOUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:D

that ugly soul reaver kain is part of an eidos main characters line. (lara and hitman are the others in the line) so i'm guessing the magazine is referring to this series.
I hope they do raziel with the light reaver attached to his arm (like the UK SR2 boxart) next.

they don't do kain justice...
and i can't seem to find Lt. raz figure anymore....:confused:

Yeah, that figure doesn't look any better this time around; that's for sure... Part of it is the fact they darkened the pic of him a bit, as if they wanted to conceal how flawed he looks, which, in the end, actually didn't help. They even cut it off where he's holding the Reaver ... with the wrong hand:p That tells me they *know* he's flawed.
I went to cytoys.com and yeah, they have Wraith Raziel and the SR1 Kain still available, but no Lieutenant Raziel... I am sure he’s still out there, somewhere... :scratch:

Well I'm going to wait until I see Kain in person before I judge it by a picture. After all, NECA's RE4 figures are just down right fantastic, so I have complete faith in them for Kain.

Well it's a matter of opinion of course. I think what turns most off is it doesn't look like the older Kain as the SR figures do.
Compare the older Kain from SR games, the original SR figure (http://www.cytoys.com/details.asp?id=485) and this $12 cheap remake.
Bottom line is it looks nothing like Kain, even the grey skin color is wrong but it's only $12, get what you pay for!

Uh... Did Cytoys rip off BBI's Kain figure? That looks exactly like the one I have from BBI. I wish they had made more figures. All I got were Raziel, LE Raziel, Kain, Lt Raziel (on a card), and Dumah. I was hoping for some other damn characters like Janos, Mobius, Rahab, Melchiah, Vorador, Ariel, etc.

As far as I am aware there was only one line released, if it is a different company the mold is prob the same. I don't know because I don't any LOK figures. I think they did a good job on them, I would buy them if I was willing to spend the $60ish on them but....I'd rather spend my money on games. I may buy the cheap $12 knockoff Kain :D

Because, I have to say, it most certainly does not ... at all.
Edit: Ok, I see what's going on here. Cytoys seems to be only selling the original Blue Box ones. They didn't make their own. I am not taking out the above in this edit, though, because it does present to you the comparison between the old figure and this horrid new one.

Just because the BBI figure is much better does not mean I have to automatically hate the NECA one.
I swear, people seem to think that you can only own one brand of figures and they call everything they haven't even seen in person ugly just based off a prototype. I still like the NECA one, and will buy 2 (one to open, one not to) as it will be great to finally have a Kain figure to open (all my BBI ones are unopened). If you want to talk about ugly, let's talk about the Toy Biz Lara Croft figure I have. :lmao:
tvideo, they are not $60, at least, not when I bought them. Dumah was $30, and is about 12 inches tall, while Raziel and Kain were $20 each and are about 9 inches.
personally, i don't wanna waste my money on this new figure. I have a lot of stuff like that already, including a much better kain figure to this one.
I just plain don't like that expression on his face. he doesn't even have any lips. He looks horrific. He SHOULD look magnificant. not some ugly snarling monster.
honestly, i would've preferred a BO2 kain figure. I already have a SR kain, and i don't have a bad thing to say about it (but i do with raziel cos i can't turn his head because the scarf is molded so his head is always turned)
(actually, i'd really like a BO2 kain. i loved the costume designs on all the chars in that game)
I WILL be considering buying lara from this line. I'm quite impressed with her big sexy sexy lips
