ok so I'm new to the forum... I hate saying this but it's really how I feel about the subject.
I don't think there should be another game...
hear me out.
my interpretation of the game was that it was a story about Kains fall from Grace and his later redemption, and about Kain and Raziel finally meeting their destinies.
that all happened. Raziel has reunited with the soul reaver, and Kain has come to understand and take up his destiny as the scion of balance. any further developments in the story telling would only be used to clarify some trivial details about the world, and to send the enlightened Kain on an ass kicking contest through Nosgoth against the Hylden.
I don't personally feel that the last battle against the Hylden is all that important (you might even go on to interpret the end of BO2 to be that ending) honestly I feel that if the series were to continue then it would lose much of the philosophical meaning.
also I feel that the Legacy of Kain has been a bit of a mystery story, as Kain and Raziel try to unmask all the players. when one reads a mystery the mystery usually ends after the unmasking of the guilty party, not after they died in prison twenty years later.
but thats just me
