View Full Version : HITMAN: Blood Money is worth to buy or not?
I saw there are problems during installation and so it may not work...?
So I have question regarding this game :D HITMAN: Blood Money is worth to buy or not?
So please choose one option from listed below:
1) HITMAN: Blood Money is worth to buy, buy it ASAP
2) HITMAN: Blood Money is not worth to buy at all
3) HITMAN: Blood Money is worth to buy but first download the demo and check it
4) HITMAN: Blood Money is not worth to buy, download the demo only

Blood Money is the best of all the Hitman games, so if you liked the previous ones, pick this one up. However, one codicil to that: make sure your system is up to it. The game requires a video card that supports pixel shaders, which means a Geforce 3, Geforce 4 TI (the MX series doesn't), FX or later on the nVidia side, and Radeon 9000 and up on the ATI side. I think the majority of the problems aren't due to the game, rather they're due to the computers people are trying to use with the game. I recommend trying the demo first and see how it runs.
If you haven't played the previous games, then the demo will give you an idea of how it plays and what it is like, then you can decide.

OK. Thanks. I am not familiar with any version of this game... I heard the tracks from the game (specialy the Jesper Kyd - "Vegas" which is available on the www.hitman.com page) and it is sooo cooool... and I saw the trailers...
I agree with what Quillan said. I think it's always a good idea to check the demo first regardless of how good the game is, just to see how it works. And keep in mind, that there is also a patch for the demo (because initial demo release didn't work too well for a lot of folks).

I didn't want to put my hardware configuration here but maybe I should :D So here it is:
motherboard: ASUS P5WD2 Premium
processor: Pentium 4 640 3.20GHz, 800MHz FSB, 2MB L2 Cache, EM64T, LGA775
memory: 2GB DDR2, FSB 667MHz (dual channel)
video card: ATI Radeon X600 Pro 128MB on PCI-E x16
OS for game: Windows XP Professional SP2
I know that video card is poor regarding other hardware but it was not intended for games... I sometimes play in OS like Solaris 10 on it :lmao:
I know that everybody dream about "GeForce 7950 GX2 Asus 1GB TV & DVI (PCI-E)" or something like that :D but I hope that "HITMAN: Blood Money" will be working fine on it

I would recommend downloading the demo also and see if you like the game.
If you do then you may want to upgrade your Graphics card to one more suited to gaming like a GF 7600GT, Radeon 1800 series GTO2, XT, GF 7800 series etc.
Anything below the Radeon X1800 series are NOT gaming cards period.
There is a lot of misinformation on the net that the X1600 cards are gaming cards, but they aren't in any way.
The lowest recommended GF card for gaming would be the 7600GT.

I'm going to have to disagree a bit with Jankerson there. You can play effectively with an X1600 card, just not with the super high detail settings. However, I don't recommend gaming on an entry level card.
Back to the original poster, try the demo, but I expect the game should run on your card. You may have to stick with 1024x768 resolution and detail settings down a bit, but it should work.

So I checked the demo and I can say that is cool and it has its specific climate (dark :D):
- no problems during installation of the demo
- no problems during the game
- game was working cool on my hardware but not with the highest graphics options of course...

Yep! That sucks.... Thats the game`s worst level...
Worth it ? It's one of the best action games I've played in my life (i've played quite many) ... great graphics, great music (especially the Ave Maria song in the main menu), excellent gameplay and tons of ways to finish ur missions. It's an outstanding game and for me it was worth every cent.
