I want to preface this by saying that the game is really fun and unique, I enjoyed it immensly and continue to play the demo (mostly just killing the first target and exploring the island at this point).

1) Better AI for npc's. Pedestrians often run towards where I'm shooting, and they occasionally pop up out of nowhere which is really distracting. I'm used to sand box games having citizen routines to some extent, here it just seemed like they'd walk around aimlessly, I would sometimes stumble on someone in the middle of the jungle or way out on the beach.

2) Ability to move vehicles, especially watercraft. I became really frustrated when I'd run a boat ashore and have to restart the mission, no matter how close I was to the water. In Far Cry you have the ability to kick water vehicles back in the ocean, that would be a great/necessary ability in this game.

3) The water is too transparent sometimes. I noticed, especially near the shore, that the water would become completely transparent, so much so that I couldn't tell where the water was and would run my boat up on the beach. I'd prefer overly reflective water rather than overly transparent. The water looks great when it reflects so it would be nice to see the transparency turned down a bit.

4) Need some way to lock on to vehicles to perform stunts. The stunts in the game are great, but it was really hard to jump from car to car, or car to helicopter, accurately. I found myself getting within stunt range and then waiting for the "jump to car" button to appear, which makes the game feel like I have to wait for the game to catch up with what I want to do. Some sort of lock on feature, like the enemy targetting, would really help in making it more fluid when jumping to different vehicles.

5) No rag dolls. This is only a minor gripe because I noticed that the game has a pretty decent physics system, but people fly around in ways that look mostly scripted. This is especially apparent when you hit someone on a motorcyle head on which causes the bike to go flying off but leaves the rider standing on your roof. Later the rider walks off in a scripted routine, causing them to step off of your roof at 60 mph. It's kind of amusing, but really takes away from the ambiance of the game.

6) Camera snap back is too quick on parachute and vehicles with weapons. It becomes really hard to aim and shoot while using the parachute or an armed vehicle because the camera is constantly fighting you to stay centered. I'd like to see the camera stay where I put it, and then snap back to center a few seconds after I've stopped aiming.

7) Better controls for armed vehicles. If I'm trying to aim while driving one of the armed vehicles in the demo I am forced to use the X button, which means I have to take my thumb off the left stick, which then causes the camera to snap back and make me lose my target. I'd prefer to have one of the bumpers fire the weapons on vehicles (eg. the armed boat and prototype jeep) or even if I could fire by clicking down on one of the thumb sticks. The main concern I have is not having to take my finger off the left thumbstick to fire.

8) Need a better map. The map for the game was it's weakest point (the full map, not the rotating one in the hub). I tried using it but found it totally useless, mostly because it didn't mark any real landmarks and I couldn't zoom in close enough to see where I was. The arrow for my position was usually so big I couldn't tell which road I was on.

Other than what I've pointed out here it's a solid game. I still play the demo all the time, it's much more interesting (for me) than GTA, I love the setting and the ease of getting really cool vehicles.

I also forgot to mention that vehicles (especially boats) leave the loading area way too quickly. Sometimes a vehice will be stopped as I'm running towards it, I'll turn the camera away to see what's behind me and all of a sudden it's just gone. This gets really frustrating when you swim forever to get a boat and it dissapears right when you get there.

Also wanted to now how representative the demo is of the final build, have these issues already been adressed? Of course I don't expect any kind of response because no developers seem to keep an eye on these threads and Avalanche doesn't even have a forum as far as I can tell.
