Any other Metroid 2 Secret World explorers?

From what I can tell, there seem to be other fans of this series here, and I was wondering if anyone else has done the whole Secret Worlds thing.

That place is how I found out, though I wonder if I'm voilating the TOU perhaps since that guy talks about using the ROM version of the game too. I seem to remember that BLincoln is a fan of the Metroid games and since he likes to do weird stuff with games, I especially have to wonder what he thinks.

huh i always thougth the "secret worlds" were nothing but rumors. anyways hawe you managed to enter any?

I played around with the one in the first game, where you had to get stuck in a door and jump up through the ceiling to get to it. The ones in the later games are less interesting to me, because they are obviously glitches instead of intentionally-designed areas. I've heard that the one in the first game is allegedly just a glitch too, but at least it *looks* like it could be a secret area.

One thing I do like about the Metroid games is the tons and tons of optional secret areas that the 2D ones tend to have. One of them (Fusion? It's been awhile) had me cursing my Gamecube controller trying to get through the areas where you've got to Shinespark repeatedly, but it was still fun.

Oh yes, I've been to quite a few now. Not all mentioned at the site, but that's because the Chozo Maze is just so interesting.
I had heard about the Secret Worlds in Metroid, but I couldn't find a guide for it for some reason. Does the unlockable version on Metroid Zero Mission also have it? I have actually been to a few areas like that in Metroid where you can get the Ice Beam before you're supposed to and other stuff like that, but is there a really big secret place?

It should be in the unlockable version of the game, yes.

The area isn't super big, but it looks neat, like an extra difficult area that was never finished.

Could you give me a link to a site that talks about it maybe? I assume that you get there with that up/down while in the wall thing? Like how I can get the Ice Beam before fighting Kraid. Man, remembering that fight with him sure reminds me of how much easier games are today...
