Wow... this is bad....

Loads and loads of potential, but this is AMAZINGLY bug ridden.
How far away is the offical release? Good while I hope because this is barely BETA candidate stuff!
Where to begin?
-Controls - All OVER the show! The parachuting is hellishly hard to control, the cars snap left and right with no fluidity and yet the character himself seems to turn ponderously slow no matter what!
-Auto-aiming- A "cannot be turned off" auto aim that simply REFUSES to relinquish control, forcing you to shoot where it wants. WTF?!
-The Police - What is this? Vice city all over again?!?! Have one fight and they start POORING in droves (and more importantly in gunship he-lo's!) Bugger all chance of survival particularly when the game stops giving health packs after Hit 3(bug?)...
-Free form gameplay? Where? Did I miss something? You are told where to go, what to kill and how to do it... not really very open, eh? Hopefully this is just a demo thing...

On the good side, there is bags of fun to be had blowing the hell outa stuff and the GFX are pretty good (Though constructed purely out of shortcuts and rendering cheats, burt no harm, no foul). I do wonder about the FPS though. Keeps swinging wildly from 20FPS to 180 FPS! Whats up with that?
The open structure of the landscape is cool (hopefully we will get to use it in the full game!) and the destructables are fun, but I do question those things that just randomly aren't destructable... Fences, bus-stops and the like. Very annoying when you try and break through stuff and can't

So as long as the real missions are much, MUCH more open in nature, the psychotic police are scaled down (or at least have their prescience turned off!) and the controls are made more adjustable, it could be a fine game.

Just my 2 bits, anyhoo...;)

I assume they kept the openen endingness for the full game, from what I've read they created a seperate map/level or something for the demo so you won't encounter it in the full game.

But it definately needs some optimizing it was basicly almost impossable to play slow fps and response from character making it hard to control and hit a target.

Well here's hoping!

You're a mod here and you're saying that?! Woah... Since when did that sort o' thing happen on these boards?
Not taking the mick there, just genuinly surprised, but very pleasantly so. I have always held that Mods should be as open as possible about games otherwise no good feedback is ever received.

Do we have word on the official release date? Do the DEVs have time to fix this? More over, who are the DEVs? What have they worked on before?

Other than the fact that I couldn't change the controls (which pissed me off, because I'm an arrow keys guy), the thing that bugged me most was the diagnal movement animation...if you go from running straight to running diagonally, there's an animation leap, and it just totures my eyes to see...
