Some (most?) of us can only dream of systems and graphics like that :rolleyes:
(and that's not even an "uber" system either)

Although I still stand by my original view that Next Gen changes too the environment/atmoshpere too much - it's not just new effects as such (remember I'm saying it looks any less spectacular)

YA!! THANKS!!:D And I didn't realize that some suits are different between the next-gen and current-gen (although Lara could use a little re-edit on the graphic - I dunno why she just isn't the same as the current-gen Lara:confused: ) and some shots reminds me of CHRONICLES:D Looks DARN realistic and I hope they add more stuff on the Ps3 version...and the PSP version was told to have more styles of acrobatics and stuffs:D

So THAT'S the difference between normal and next generation graphics. Unfortunately, I only have an integrated video card so NG is not an option available to me. Anyway, great shots ! :)

My system runs both next gen and normal settings well, including the full screen AA.

However, I find myself playing the normal mode more often. The colours seem more vivid and enjoyable to be playing. The Next Gen mode often seems too dark, even in places where there is meant to abundant light and the colours often seem washed out and too similar.

Next Gen mode is not worth splashing out on a new system for.

I totally agree with Bunnylover and his reasons are similar to my reasons for not using next gen mode although my system is quite capable of running it too. Also, in next gen mode, lara doesn't get wet/dirty. it just feels weird coming out of a pool and she is totally dry. also, she just looks "different" in nextgen.

She doesn't on the PC. Not that I've been able to discern anyways.

It's cool in normal mode because after she's gotten wet, her clothes get darker. So if you sit there and watch long enough at a close enough view, you can see the clothes getting progressively lighter in different areas as the clothes dry out.

But yeah, nothing in NextGen mode in PC. =/

she drips, but its weird. you only see the shadows dripping, not water, and her clothes are dry. in normal gen, she gets drenched and you see all the cool water effects on her. they left it out in nextgen for some reason... :(
