I abandoned AOD on PC halfway through Eckhardt's Lab when Legend was released so I thought I'd better finish it yesterday. The problem was that it didn't play the final FMV, I've heard of other people having that problem too. The only way I knew that I had actually finished was because I had played it on PS2 originally.
If you had the same problem on PC how did you know that you had finished the game?
I thoroughly enjoyed AOD on PS2 and didn't understand what all the fuss was about - until I played it on PC, the quite frustrating at times and Lara's body parts would disappear, look at this screen shot - notice the pair of legs down the bottom?

If you hated AOD on PC, try it on PS2, you might just be pleasantly surprised.

I played AOD on PC and I never had those problems. :)
I think it depends on your hardware.
I too couldn't get the FMVs to work when I played it, and when it took me back to the title screen (I think that's what happened, anyway) I just guessed it had ended, checked my strategy guide and indeed it had.
I then went into the games files to watch the ending FMV.
Not really as good as the normal way...bit of a pause between Lara leaping toward the Sleeper (player controlled) and grabbing on (FMV).

only problem I had was the control. Lara would consistantly spin around on the stair and run of the edge.. other than that, it was a decent game.

Well thats the funny thing, I could watch all the FMVs except the last one. (I ended up watching it through windows media player anyway :D )

Hey Mum! I'll investigate this matter. A few questions first:
1) Are you playing AOD on Windows XP, 2000 or 98?
2) Is AOD fully installed on your PC?
3) In which drive have you installed AOD?
Detective star girl investigates! :rasp: *grabs a magnifying glass*
"Now where did I lock up Watson?" :D

You do that. I decided to take on Winston instead, I locked Watson up in the famous freezer. Observe... :D

Hey star girl, it looks like Watson wants to come out now :D

I checked and I didn't install the patches, now that I think about it I didn't bother when I installed the game as it worked fine. I'll install them and let you know if it makes a difference :)
Edit:
I just installed them and played the last few seconds of AOD and the patches didn't make any difference, it still didn't play the final FMV, it must be my computer.

*let's a shivering Watson out*
"I live to see the light of the next day!" Watson screams, with a sore throat.. :D
Anyway... yeah it must be something with your PC, as I have XP, and AOD works fine on it...
"T'was great working with you, Mum."
