Good comparison survey. You can really see a change by TR4 with a very slight smoothness to the face occurring in TR3. The transition is subtle making her still Lara all the way.

This is why it really surprised me when somebody on these boards (I forget who) said they were "disgusted" with how the new Lara looks. To me, she looks like a natural evolution of what she always was-- more realistic, less exagerrated, but still Lara. I think Legend's Lara is the best yet, because it takes what was a cartoonish image in the past and makes her seem real.

If I had to put the best looking Lara to the not so great looking Lara (in the out of game shots) it would go sort of like this:

1. TR7
2. TR1
3. TR6
4. TR2
5. TR3
6. TR5
7. TR4

Lara to me has to much of a long chin in TR4.

The in-game pics of her from TR1, 2 and 3-- she looks like an old, has-been movie star who used too much botox and replaced her real eyebrows with draw-on lines (I could kind of picture her yelling "NO WIRE HANGERS!!!!!" now that I think about it.) This is why I never understood those people who said they liked playing TR because they liked looking at Lara... she's not remotely attractive! (well, I guess it's all subjective, but to me, she's one of the less attractive women in gaming until AOD when she at least starts to remotely resemble a fairly nice looking woman.)
