TRLE Desktops

While searching my computer to rid of useless programs and files, I realized that my desktop was cluttered with tons of icons, some having to do with the TRLE and some not.

So before I deleted it all, I took a pic of what it was, I guess it wasn't so cluttered and dirty but at times you couldn't even see my wallpaper (Alanis Morissette). My desktop definitely wasn't the same before the TRLE.

I used to have 7-8 rows of icons, including 3 different versions of Wadmerger :D but I deleted lots of them a few weeks ago, leaving 4 rows, I am now back to 5 :D

ok ok I know it looks horrible, I haven't gotten round to changing the whole look yet! I absolutely detest clutter, so the minimalist look is for me :)

I hate (with a vengence) icons all over the screen so have none but the ones you can't get rid off and use the menus to launch things. I have a few things on the task bar - cd player / wav player.

thanks. Maybe I should change the background image, because my eyes hurt sometimes :D.
But I´m used to see this picture...and I don´t know what to choose for a new desktop style.
Maybe I´´ll change it some day, but then I won´t take one picture of Lara..I like "extraordinary" things much better :p :D.

one way of doing that is with TweakUI (or other windows tweak programs)
another way is by making your desktop show as a webpage and hide the icons (display settings in the config screen)
the last trick I know is to increase the resolution, move the bin all the way to the right and then decrease the resolution again

yeah , either tweak UI or if your an XP user right click on your desktop, choose 'arrange icons by' and click 'show desktop icons' that will hide everything. :D

One of the secrets to have a clean desktop is to use a applications-loader, for instance 'FastUse', available on my web-site. :)

All you do is right click the desktop select arrange icons, then uncheck show desktop icons.

I've cleaned up my clutter...yet I cannot part with My Computer and My Documents from the desktop...maybe I'll put them on the Quick Launch bar and hide the recycle bin...hehehe...

I can see the folder, it's just down from the media player shortcut and a bit to the right ;)
