XBOX HDTV Resolution??

What resolution is the XBOX going to present this game in? 480 or 720? I doubt I could tell a difference...just curious. Thanks!

Pretty sure it will be 720p and 480p for non-HD people. :)

are you talking about the 360 or the original xbox?


480i is non HD but 480p is already HD

HD resolutions come in 480p,720p,1080i

for the original xbox for sure its going to have 480p and in some rare cases 720p and 1080i


and remember to get that 480p and 720p u need to have an HDTV that supports all 480p,720p,1080i

and your xbox needs to be hoocked up with component cables

and you need to enable 480p,720p,1080i from your xbox menu;)

Technically, 480i is SDTV (your regular tv) 480p is EDTV (enhanced definition, no scanlines) 720p, 1080i, 1080p are all HDTV (running at 1280x720, and 1920x1080 respectively). As far as I know this info should be accurate.

I believe that the xbox version is going to probably be HD enabled, running at a max of 720p. Note that both on the xbox and xbox 360 1080i is really an upscaled version of 720p, so there's almost no diff in picture quality.

I hope 1080p screens become more available VERY soon as I am aching to buy a HDTV.

The PS3 will be 1080p native :thumbsup:

I hope by the time the ps3 comes out we'll have 1080p native TVs in full swing and maybe some 1080p TV channels :)
