I decided to get my ol' PC version of FFVII out tonight...
well ive got it installed and it works great for about 3min...then when they arrive at the reactor after the opening movie, then theres no background just sprites...the text is kinda messed up but the game works as if theres not a problem...lol...
i found a similar problem but its during the movie...mines after and during gameplay, i can go through battles and whatnots, the menu works (text is strange though) and i can move around. just the game is void of background
erm...lets see...specs...
Pentium4 3.2GHz
Nvidia GeForce 6800 GT OC
Windows XP Media Edition (SP1 as far as i know)

EDIT: it does work in 320 x 240 mode without the NVidia fix(looks like poo on a plate but it works), also works in higher res but in full screen the video lags behind the audio. when the nvidia fix is enabled 640x480 fullscreen works but has the above problem.
