Hello. I have just bought the DVD-version of Invisible War here in Denmark, Europa. I installed it on my Inno3D 7800GT (with the drivers that came with the cd from the card), Athlon 64 3200+, 1GB Kingston ValueRAM, Windows XP Pro, 160GB Seagate SATA, ASUS A8V-E SE. I don't have internet on that computer, so i don't have much stuff on it. I can easily enter the menu, click "New Game", watch the intro and create my new character, but when i click "Start Game", bam, it turns all black. I can't even Alt+Tab out to my desktop. It says in the menu that i have version 1.1 and always had 1.1.
Please help me, what should i do? :(

Try turning all of the graphics down to there lowest settings and see what happens. Some video cards don't support nice lighting or shadowing, and other things like that.

I had same problem. I have Win XP and its x64 edition in dual boot (I hope I used the right term). It gave exactly that same problem on 32bit XP but it worked in 64bit one. Maybe it has something to do with my AMD 64 processor

I have the same problem =/
I have the version from Gametap, but it is 1.2.
Does the exact same, menu is fine, plays the movie, choose a portrait. Confirm then nothing but black no mater what.
I have a 2.4ghz 3200+ athlon and a Gforce 6600 GT 1 gig of ram with best drives I can get.
Please!!! any one know what is wrong?
If it is just gametap that is fine, I'd really like to play the game =/

I have the version downloaded from steam, and I have this exact same problem. Any solutions? I'd really like to play this game, but in the current situation it's not looking like it's gonna happen.

Same thing for me.
AMD 3800+, 2Gb Ram 7800GS, Vista Business. I have the UK DX:IW, have had it since release, but this is the first time I have tried it in Vista.
Edit
Forgot to say, using Vista 32Bit and official Nvidia drivers 158.18 (May 2nd). I am also pretty sure am using the Asus A8V motherboard (VIA chipset) as well.

Minor update.
If you leave the black screen a few minutes, the black screen goes and you get the viktoria error.
All I have to do is find out how to solve that one.

The viktoria error usually means the game thinks your card does not support pixel shading. If it's a GeForce 4, it doesn't. If it's otherwise higher than 3, it does.
So if you don't have a 4, try rolling back to earlier drivers.
