I am very grateful that eidos has published VII and VIII but isnt it time to release IX and X on PC?
I had a look in the upcoming games section and was horrified that Final Fantasy 9 wasnt there, I mean whats going on its not as if the games arent popular enough?

...I seriously doubt you'll see any more ports from Square. FF7 and FF8 were pretty much a disaster in the technical area.
I suggest buying a PS2....if you like FF7 style of RPG, the PS2 is the only console where you'll find other simular games.
Shadow Hearts 1&2
SMT: Digital Devil Saga
Star Ocean 2&3
Metal Gear Solid 1-3
Zone of the Enders 1&2
Parasite Eve 1&2
Front Mission 4
...to name a few.

Threesixty, you mixed PS1 games with PS2 games, and while it's true the PS2 is backwards-compatible, by this stage the PS1 games will have to be scoured for on Ebay, etc. Oh, and if you have a Gamecube, you can also pick up:
Skies of Arcadia Legends
Tales of Symphonia
These are excellent RPG's. The last three are my absolute favorites this generation, along with Xenosaga Episode I for the PS2.

yeah...I know I mixed them in there. But I've seen them at my local EBgames every once in a while. In fact couple of weeks ago, I saw Xenogears on the used games shelf. So...they still can be found. Those PS1 games I listed are also regularly at Ebgames.com and Gamestop.com.
Notice that I didn't list Valkyrie Profile, or Suikoden II.
Anyway....PC isn't the way to go for these type of games. Need a console that came from Japan. USA games just aren't the same....Games from the states just don't have that tragic story thing in them. They usually revolve around some kind of indestructable hero that never has a bad day.
