Hi there. Does anyone know when a new version could possibly come out for Mac? I really enjoyed the first one and would like to play more! :).
Thanks.
seems you have a XBox, so go and get DX Invisible War for it, because the Mac editions will probably never come out and for DX2 there is no big deal if you play it on a PC or a console
btw, Ion Storm are Dead! so in a mean time there is no future for Deus Ex series
enjoy what you can

One of the main reasons, if not the reason, Deus Ex: Invisible War never made it to the Mac was because of the Havok physics engine. Although Havok works on the Mac, the licensing fee is VERY high and the Mac market is too small to make up the expense. To date afaik, if a game uses Havok, there is no Mac version of that game. IMO this has nearly killed the Mac game market. Franchises that had successful Mac versions (Halo, Harry Potter, James Bond, Max Payne, Medal of Honor, Tom Clancy) have all been stopped in their tracks or significantly delayed on the Mac because their sequels used Havok.
There may be some hope for future titles: Age of Empires III used Havok on PC but a Mac version is coming with Ageia’s PhysX substituted for Havok, a sensible solution if it works well. Blizzard has also announced they will be using Havok on the Mac, as they are one of the few if not the only Mac developers who can afford it.
