Angelina is my faviourite actress after Uma Thurman. Personally however I don't care about pictures of her or about details of her personal life. If you've got details confirming that she if definetly going to be Lara in a third movie or about any other upcoming movie then I would be interested to read that though.

I've been wanting to say this for years since the Tomb Raider movies came out. I think I have held my tounge about this long enough.
I think Angelina Jolie is beautiful and a good diverse actress and I think she was good as Lara Croft.
But make no mistake, when I discuss Tomb Raider in general I never talk about her. She is not Lara Croft, she is Angelina Jolie an actress. It irritates me when I look for Tomb Raider items to collect and her name or Tomb Raider related movie items pop up in the search. I don't even care about the comics since they don't look like Lara Croft either. I only like Tomb Raider Lara Croft items that relate to the games. Only the game images because that is the original. Not Angelina Jolie or the comic books.

I think I'm a bit like you Lud*s Gate. I think Angelina Jolie is a good actress and was brilliant as Lara Croft. The first film was fun and I'll be happy if they do more. But, to me the films and games are completely separate, and my preference is for the games and the game Lara. It irritates me to think the films will start to influence the games (back-up team at the mansion, sigh  ) when the games are a classier product by far imo.
I'm not keen on how Lara looks in the comic books either.

well i am a huge fan.....mainly because of her acting and the good deeds she performs...i have been a TR fan from way back when with the first game..i was a bit worried about someone taking her to the big screen, and IMHO jolie did a cracking job....i feel she bought TR to the masses so to speak and ignited more of an interest for our gal, which lead to more people playing the original games and introducing even more interest in Lara...

Cool... good to see some people here like AJ. Now lets all get together and lobby for a TR movie forum here on the Eidos boards.... http://www.tombraiderforums.com/forums/graemlins/whistle.gif

I agree about the movies vs the games. I don't even like the fact that the games adopted the movie's logo (and title, since they now call the games, "Lara Croft Tomb Raider," which is just stupid. Go back to the old logo and the simpler name.)
I still haven't seen Cradle of Life. Is it worth watching?

As long as you don't expect it to be like the games you should like it. :)

I still haven't seen Cradle of Life. Is it worth watching?I'd say it was worth seeing because it's Tomb Raider and Angelina Jolie's in it. It moves along at a reasonable pace but has a formulaic plot with obligitory stunt moments, evil-Evil Person and a dullish love interest for Lara.
It's directed by the guy who did Speed, so if you like that kind of thing I think you'll like this too.

I bought Cradle of Life a few months ago. I had never seen it before. It's a good movie. :)

Personally speaking, I didn't like it. The first movie's much better.
I do like Angelina, though she isn't my favourite, but yeah she's good.
But I don't think she was the 'Lara Croft' in the movies, both of them. I donno, just gave her an unrealistic look. And her grunts... OH! Not applicable...
But in her other movies, she's good. And I would like to see the news you're saving.

IMHO i liked the 1st movie better...i thought the depth of characterisation was far superior to COL...it was fast paced good story and great performances..the script was better too...and it introduced Lara to a whole new generation of Lara fans who now play the games...which i think is brilliant as it keeps Lara alive so to speak

Out of the two movies I think the first was more like the games but its hard to say which I liked better because they were two totally different movies... they both had different things l liked about them. I loved the stunts in the second movie but I liked the story better in TR1. :o

I think the comic book character looked like Lara in the first issues when Andy Park was penciling. But when Randy Green took over I thought he screwed it up. Still bought the comics though.
It's all subjective, obviously. I think AJ played Lara Croft really well and looked like her. It's tough to find someone to portray a video game character perfectly because video game models are so very unrealistic. Even when we have 5000 polys to work with they still look cartoony for the most part.
To each their own.
Anywho, I don't care much about AJ news, but I like pics. :)

No to your question
I would prefer a cg lara if they did a movie on her again. Cause that is Lara.

Angelina Jolie is one of my favourite actresses, along with Rachel Weisz. I had a huge crush on the latter at one point, but I think both are very talented actresses.
