Having posted, earlier tonight, in a thread recollecting childhood memories, it has really got me thinking!! (Which actually doesn't hurt as much as they say!!! ;) ) But it got me thinking about my Mum. I lost my mum 18 years ago when I was 17. Since her death I have been married and divorced, found my soulmate, had two children and a whole list of other personal experiences that I have not been able to share with her. I guess what I am trying to say is, I don't think I will ever truely accept that she is gone!!! I know she isn't at the other end of a telephone anymore, but that doesn't stop me from wishing with all my heart that she was!!! I miss her dreadfully and wish I could have had more time with her, I could have helped her.

Anyway I just want to remind you how very important your Mum is, whether she is your biological mother or not, the person you consider your Mum should be cherished!!!!

Well, I am 37 who never married or have kids, and my parents split up back in 83. My so called father in the early 90's has never had the chance for me and my twin sista. So, he never knew of my own wherabouts and especially my sista's marriage last April of 2001.

Ther are times I can do well without my parents. I am sometimes feel that I'm regulated, and had to hear my mom's hatred of most beings on this planet. I am not sorry for my parents split up. You just have to leave the past behind and move on. Move foward.

Thank you LARAMANIAC for sharing this!

It made me think of my mum and how important she is to me! I don't see her very often, but now that I'm getting older I cherish the relationship we have!

That was exactly my intention Solange - cherish the relationship you have - you are both very lucky!!

SpyroDragon you are of course absolutely right, there is no point in living in the past. I don't, but every now and then I still can't help but miss her!!

Thanks for your replies!!
