We all ahve been playing tomb raider. Completing it's games and feeling young again with Lara under our very own fingertips. But one thing I was curious about; what have you learnt from tomb raider? What kind of effect has it had on you? How has it changed you?
I'll tell my case. I began to observe and notice everything in my daily life. Whilst playing TR, you have to note everything about everything and then find out the way. I just started noticing everything around me, and even began making some ideas of my own.
Another thing I learned was to grunt (lolzzz). I used to scream out loud if I had gotten a little scratch, but I began to grunt even if my hand was squashed between the door and the doorway.
What effect did it have on you?

Actually, I've stopped yelling when I get hurt too; I usually grunt. But I've never connected that with playing Tomb raider. It might have had something to do with it; but I basically taught myself to be strong, to save the yells for what really causes them.
Tomb raider: The last revelation helped spark my interest in the Egyptian gods Set and Anubis. Tomb raider has also helped me realise, I guess, that I enjoy being by myself; that I don't necessarily need others. If you're in flow with everything, it doesn't matter.
When I got into Tomb raider, my adolescence was setting in, and so I guess Tomb raider had some overall effect on my growth.
Oh yeah, one thing I can definitely name is that I really began to appreciate the world around me more. I loved in Tomb raider that it could take locations we take for granted and show how truly interesting they are. As well as show us locations we would never dare to venture ourselves!
So, Tomb raider has helped 'free' me, if you will.

When I'm exhausted I now make the sighing noise that Lara makes when she uses a medipak. :D , Also if I see a particular building (I know that others here have said this before too) whether for real or on TV (I saw a doco on Venice the other day) I start analyse it on how I would climb it if I was Lara :D But generally, just like star girl, I now notice more around me :)

Ever since The Last Revelation, I have had a big interest in Ancient Egypt and the Egyptian Gods. Also, there are many times in life, before some big event, when I have wished I could 'Save' and then Reload if something went wrong :)

I turned out to love and wear boots most of the time. :D Also, I became more tolerant to pain and ended up being basically some sort of masochist.
How come that's a TR effect? Well, Lara takes bullets and spikes and barely lets out a groan... Guess we have to spare those... :p

Your website is really well put together. There is some excellent information there which is really easy to find and it doesn't give you a headache looking through it like some other websites do :)

aw thankyou so much...i didn't want it to be the same format as other TR websites and i wanted young as well as older TR fans to be able to search really easily. i really wanted it to be like a DVD extras menu if that makes sense..so glad you like it. I'm just about to post a huge merchandise section so stay tuned!
