that's right, persevere, you'll soon learn :D Here's a few useful links that might be of help to you.

Tommy Tomb raider's outfit tutorial, which started me off and was of great help. On the second tutorial page, you can also see some of Lara's joints that aren't readily recognizable.

Some tips from moi lol

Always keep a backup copy of your outfit WAD. I also created a root directory for all my outfit projects.

If you can, avoid editing the dxf meshes of Lara's animated joints, until you are more experienced :) for example, her wrists, knees, elbows etc.

Get to know Lara's textures, for example textures for the torso and backpack are usually grouped together, as are her shoes, hair textures etc. Experiment and play around with her lol, you will become familiar with what goes where eventually.

Don't forget: when you finished an outfit, put it on a site and register it here:
http://trsearch.tripod.com/cgi-bin/TRSearch.cgi?action=outfitlist
Then you have a change your outfits get reviewed (if anyone takes time for that) and you can use it to make even better outfits and finally win some awards.

Thanks TIK. Anyway, litepulsar, in the first page of your tutorial where it shows strpix in work, how come my icons in strpix are set up different?

TTR's tutorial was made with Strpix 3.4 or 3.5

The new version is 3.9 with new functions, but the old ones are still there.

that's because in the pic of Tommy Tomb Raider's tutorial, it's an older version of Strpix, but the latest version is just a different lay out with much more options! Compare the pic and and your version of strpix, you'll see what I mean :)
