I have the same problem. I am running Windows Me with Imperial Glory loaded on a secondary physical (D:) drive. I enter a save file name and click on the check icon or hit enter and nothing...

According to the following statement you're basically out of luck with Saving your game if you're not running XP/Windows 2000. Patch v1.1 seems to work for those experiencing the same problem on a current OS....I guess it's time to upgrade.
