September 11, 2001 (please take a moment and read)

This thread is dedicated to September 11, 2002 when the World Trade Center was struck by an airplane and tragically came crashing down.
It took over 6 years for the towers to be built, and only an hour and fourty minutes for them to come down.
This is for all who fought to save others, for all who died, and for all who cried. For all who lost a loved one, a family member, a friend, for those who worked and helped, even if not in New York, to calm and pull together with others.
The terrorists attacked, hoping to bring our country down, to send us into a panic.
We only became stronger.
They tried to pull us down, but we stand together, united, as one.

I would ask of you, to take *a moment of silence please*,for September 11

I don't mean to demean what happened on September 11th, or the people who lsot their lives on that day, but we must also remember everyone who has died - everyone who dies - and everyone who will die - from acts of terorism. It goes on in every ctounry, and every government is responsible for it. No man is an island, and what we do as individuals has greater effects on a global scale - even if those effects are incomprehensible to us as individuals.

Terrorism is an act of senseless violence, true, but it is also an act of desperation - and one can only admire the dedication of people that they are willing to give thier lives - and the lvies of others - to a cause they believe in, no matter what we may think of their cause.

I do not mean to cause offence; I simply wish to say that in war - there are no winners, good guys, bad guys - only losers. Because violence breds violence, and when we allow ourselves to bomb random villages searching for the hidden terorist, we have lowered ourselves to his level - something George Dubya may want to consider.
