I know the title sounds boring but these reports contain interesting news about upcoming game releases. :D Here are some things I saw....
..."* Review of development process. We have completed our review of all Eidos development studios and titles in development. Our first priority has been to ensure that all titles are given sufficient resources to be completed to
a high standard. In particular our plans allow for sufficient time to be
spent on key franchises such as Tomb Raider, Hitman and Commandos. In line
with our plans, the next versions of these franchises will now be released
in spring 2006. The next phase of our development review is to introduce new
incentive schemes into studios owned by Eidos, structured on successful
project management to encourage on time delivery and supported by the
appropriate financial framework to ensure that each development studio is
profitable."...
..."2006 Financial Year and future product portfolio
The Group has made a very positive start to the 2006 financial year. On 16
September we launched Total Overdose. This new product has had very strong reviews and has immediately entered the Top Ten of the UK All Format Charts and reached similar chart positions in several European countries.
On 30 September 2005 the latest product in the highly successful Conflict series will be launched. Conflict: Global Storm is the fourth product in the series. With a fully revised engine, the game's initial reviews suggest that this
franchise should once again perform strongly. The quality and on time delivery
of Conflict: Global Storm further illustrates the success of our acquisition, in
September 2003, of Pivotal Games.
The first half of the financial year will also see revenue from the continued
distribution income from sales of Lego Star Wars. The Platinum version of Lego
Star Wars will be launched in October along with a new version for the Nintendo Gamecube.
Our release schedule for the remainder of the financial year is very strong. We
are continuing to build our product line-up for 2007 and already have several
products in development for 2008 which have yet to be announced.
Our current portfolio of products in development or recently released includes

We are finalising our release schedules for the 2006 and 2007 financial years
based on the above products in development.
The growth in the global games market continues to be boosted by the
introduction of new hardware platforms. Earlier this month Sony launched the PSP in Europe. Microsoft has already announced the forthcoming launch of the Xbox 360 and Sony is expected to launch Playstation 3 in late 2006. We are planning our release schedule to maximise on the potential opportunities to be derived once the installed base of a new hardware platform has achieved critical mass.
For these reasons our first next generation titles will be based around existing
franchises with a substantial fan base. This will include Championship Manager
on Sony PSP and Tomb Raider Legend on Sony PSP and Microsoft Xbox 360. However,
we do not plan to launch next generation versions of the majority of our titles
until at least one year after the release of the new hardware.
We will also develop products to sell into the large installed base for
Playstation 2, which is currently estimated at over 100 million. We expect the
average age of Playstation 2 buyers to fall and accordingly our games for this
platform may have a younger target audience.".....
